Class Specific Changes we need to see

Sns

  • Reduce the taunt trigger time to 0 (ie the moment you push taunt, the moment it taunts)
  • reduce the amination time by half
  • Increase whirling blade aoe radius

IG

  • Blocking stamina should now reduce the amount of block damage taken by 50%
  • Ice shower, entombed should taunt should now taunt when a carn gem is slotted.
  • Ice Wall should now taunt when a carn gem is slotted

FS

  • Meteor, Fireball should taunt when a carn gem is slotted

Rapier

  • controlled breathing should also reduce stamina blocking damage by 50%

I would suggest adding reasons as to why you think these should be implemented. I do agree with the changes to SNS Defenders Resolve though. The reason being that activating defenders resolve at the wrong time can be an instant death sentence. This makes no sense to me considering what the skill does.

Not that I think they’re bad, more options are always nice, but these are less of changes “we” need to see and more of changes nourri needs to see.

No. I do not like Sns, and have no desire to use it. I played with it and i think that its just trash. my balance changes never, ever have any position about me as a player, only what i think as a designer.

I have successfully tanked both SS, Laz, and ennead m10 clears with mage tank. I do not need any changes to validate any build i run, especially of weapons i find super skill-lacking. Sns is literally the “noob” bazooka version of a weapon in nw.

As for the other weapons i am trying to make ti possible to run non-rapier/spear/sns/gs/hatchet builds for tanking. its a concept that ESO does, and it works really well to have a various types of tanks.

You tanked as mage? What do you mean by tanking as mage?
What were your attributes and weapons ?
And when you say successfully you mean gold result? Or finishing the run?

I play on EU. And I am not ready to go in-depth about tanking as it’s only a role I’ve seldom done. But I’ve DPS and healer my fair share of times.
Now my problem is not at all with non SnS tanking.
I find that easy and acceptable. Our tank never uses SnS( on our premade run).
But he has taunts. And I don’t know about mage taunts.
So my question is direteced towards mage tanking and not tanking without SnS.

Specifically: were you able to hold agro with mage tank?
And if so, are you just dealing enough DPS(w/extra threat?) Or was your group DPS low?
Which leads me to the next question:
When you say successfully do you mean gold? Or just finishing?

Because to make gold you still need somewhat good DPS and I find this tank interesting. But if it’s just forfeiting good then I wouldn’t consider it viable.

The only S Tier tanking weapon in game is rapier. Sns/gs/spear are a tier, and hatchet is b tier.

I tank with Rapier + Combinations, so in this case, rapier+ ig/vg/fs depending

Generally it takes about 8-12 seconds of dps with rapier to obtain enough threat to stay ahead of dps while using off mage weapon. So i taunt>dps rapier into using the other weapon to keep a head.

Many times, even with the recent SS m10 addition. In fact you will be suprised to learn that i hold around 3k dps as a tank, far above that of sns.

Interesting, if you ever get a video showcasing this, tag me. I get the general idea from what you explained but would enjoy seeing it in action .
