Clear Distinction Between Friendly and Enemy Effects

It would be very useful and borderline necessary to have enemy spells have a different color than friendly ones: currently it’s impossible to tell if any AOE skill (heals, ice storm, gravity well and so on) belong to an enemy or an ally unless one physically gets into them and sees if they get damage or not. While this is certainly not an issue in 1v1, it gets progressively more problematic the more people are involved in a fight, unless one can keep track of who casts what at any given time, which in a very big zerg fight is a little unrealistic…

A simple change, like keeping any ally AOE skills as they are but shading the enemy ones with a different color, would surely make any fight more readable for the players, since many of the offensive AOE skills also provide bonuses to allies and are not just meant to cause damage.

Many other games have successfully solved the problem in a similar way and I can’t think of a single drawback of implementing a similar solution in New World.

This is a great suggestion. Why not just make friendly colors cool (blue, green, etc). Enemy colors warm (Red, orange, yellow, etc).
