Close-combat causes projectiles to bounce/deflect off players/AI

What server/world did you experience your issue on:

Describe the issue you are experiencing:

  • When playing in close-quarter combat, projectiles (mostly abilities) will bounce or deflect off the enemy players and/or NPCs/AI

Is this a bug or an exploit:

  • a bug

(if a bug) How did the issue effect your gameplay:

  • You could be trying to heal yourself with beacon (for example) and it bounces off the enemy on you and now your 35second ability is on cooldown, and you die or your team dies (in a dungeon/pve/ or pvp setting)

(if a bug) Were you able to recover from the issue:

  • Death was the only option

What are the steps to reproduce the issue as you experienced:

  • Be close to target… shoot… and watch your ability shoot to the moon.
    While I only have clips of beacon doing this, Ive seen it happen with grav wells, orbs, and light/heavy attacks (probably more)

I have also noticed this issue! Glad I’m not alone.

it drives me crazy!

Between beacon getting eaten by maelstrom, deflecting off of mobs, and having a very large cooldown (PLUS A TINY HITBOX), I’ve been contemplating on swapping it out for something else.

Problem is, Orb suffers the same problems. Divine Embrace cast time is WAY too long. And SPlash of Light is so limiting in the way it only heals group members.

Kinda sucks
