I’m not against adding new content etc but ! I believe the core needs to be fixed as top priority before anything else .
Combat still feels clunky and unresponsive on top of that we’re suffering from desync which makes the game really unfun to play sometimes and really frustrating.
Everyone at this point is calling for nerfs for every weapon on the forums which says something about the pvp state right now , I guess the burst / low time to kill meta didn’t work out pretty well after all and its starting to create a toxic environement around pvp.
Still hoping for major combat and pvp change and hopefully devs will listen to all these calls
How could you balance the game to where it’s not a burst meta?
With consumables and healing the way it is. It’s legit all about trying to do burst combos. Especially if you’re a light wearer. You can’t sustain damage…so you’re play style, in light, is all about evading and burst.
It requires some major changes starting from how attributes work for example con which makes no sense , armor loads rework and some abilities like sacred ground should a channeling ability like meteor shower for example . I’m not an expert , i’m just a player giving my opinion to the experts which i can tell the majority agrees with it from the forum posts.
But yeah I don’t want to go back to Bruisers / healers brawling for 10 min on point too which is not fun too
I feel the same, they should at least return hitstun (stagger) on the heavy attacks!
But as the game continuously changes to be more simple, this probably won’t ever happen. It is too bad, the open world pvp was so dynamic and much more fun before they removed hitstun after the game preview in 2020
Somehow, I can’t find nice open world pvp in the game…Eventhough I still love the game and hope for better changes and adjustments…
I just got back to the game and realized again how much I would love the game to bring back a bit more dynamic…
