The added ‘buffer’ that animation locks our characters on every single action has really made this game a terrible experience for me. Dodging, consuming pots, food, weapon swapping, pressing any abilities – all of these things that already felt bad now feel even worse and unresponsive. If AGS’ aim was to make combat feel “buttery smooth” as they claim, you’ve terribly failed.
PLEASE add a priority to weapon swapping, dodging, blocking, and ability usage over anything else. Not just PvP, but any form of combat feels extremely unpleasant. In its current state, it only feels like you implemented a change and didn’t even bother actually playing your game and seeing if it feels good for yourselves.
P.S. Why is my character able to get bodyblocked by my allied players inside expeditions and corruptions? I don’t see the skill or strategy in forcing us to sheath our weapons every 2 seconds so that we can actually move and hit something; again, just unnecessarily making the game feel clunky for very little to no gain. PLEASE, at some point in development ask yourselves if the tradeoff is worth it to implement these clunky mechanics.
