Combat audio (all of it, tbh) is next level

The audio in this game has been a CONSTANT draw that has kept me playing since launch. And even with many many hours, I still have moments like this where something about how the audio in this 20 seconds of combat took almost musical form gave me goosebumps.

I know it’s been said many times but this art department is mind-blowingly amazing

I’ll never forgive them for replacing the sweet, satisfying, soothing original sound of the gallop emote with the far inferior current sound.

Aside from that, sure, good job.

audio is 11/10 hands down the single best aspect of this game and the lead audio designer has a bright future ahead of them imo.

would love to see his work ethic toward procuring original sound for in game affects become the norm in games.
it’s singularly brilliant how good the games audio is.

Reminds me of ultima online, the amount of emotions I feel when I hear any noises from ultima online is intense , new world is doing the same thing

The audio in this game is indeed great, be it the tree chopping sound or the fighting.

But the audio engine isn’t .

It crashed a couple of times for me and then I had way better FPS.

They should offload the audio engine to a different core, it seems to be tightly coupled with the render loop.

*except for fire staffs

Music, sound, graphics and concepts have been the attraction of the game.

The bad sheep is the balancing of the weapons (unforgivable) and lack of end game progression (which needs to be fixed to be smarter and not more labour.)
