It’s like people do a stun and then they combo to kill players, if they miss they shield and sword or Ice / hammer / spear / riposte / thunder etc they run away and wait for cooldowns
if u are a pvp’er u know what I am talking about this goes for a lot of weapons
And it’s boring it’s reminded me of rogues in vanilla in wow back then With rogues stun lock
That’s why they made the a trinket
I know having gems and 200 con some times u can sometimes survive it but
Let’s say thunder bluss and shield and sword
Is this good pvp? running up to a player shield and 2 shot players and this is with 200 con and heavy armor and 5 resi and shirking fortification or ele/physical avasions etc
this is new world biggest pvp problem
Most players will stop pvping in at some point pvp I see it many times in my long years of playing
now it comes down to who jumps who first, it have noting about skill on a keyboard
I have been playing mmorpgs from the day of UO it’s a decade ago and I played them all see it all
I hope runes can counter this problem
In the upcoming patch , do you also think this combo is getting out of ?
With the buff to freedom it’s really hard to cc chain someone now.
Also if you’re not running 200 con and you’re not geared out what do you think is going to happen?
It is really difficult to land CC chains now, they are so telegraphed and very easy to avoid. If you’re running low con you deserve to die if you allow yourself to get caught.
While I understand being CC chain killed isn’t ever fun, neither is being kite killed by a rapier user.
There is a workout in each case and if you’re getting abused you’re just getting gear and skill gapped at the end of the day and that’s what make this feel awful.
CC chains are currently the most viable way to kill a healer which is nigh unkillable with enough shirking fort and a rapier in their kit.
With healing in play, your auto attacks will never kill someone. They just don’t do enough dps. You have to get big skill burst damage with cc to seal the deal, or else they’ll riposte, dodge, evade away and be at full health again.
If you miss anything in the combo, you’re not going to kill time anymore, so why bother wasting your time.
In order to reliably kill healers, you need 4-8k burst damage in one hit, closer to 10k+ with animation cancel. That’s just how OP the life staff is.
The unfortunate side effect is that any build that can kill healers will blitz other class 1v1 with ease.
8k is not enough. You need at least 12k burst in a stunlock combo to kill a healer but if they are in their sacred and run 1 freedom they will survive.
You need 2+ dps with a knockdown cc like sweep or wrecking ball and a 8-10k burst combo to kill a healer.
I don’t agree with you u can easy killed 200 con players with a combo. that’t what people are doing in pvp right now. and u can easy get caught by to player with hammers. the CC is a joke
Most stun lock combos aren’t really stuns. Actually there are really few skills that count as “stun”. On the other hand knockdowns is what actually kills light users, since freedom is dogsht there.
If they actually wanted freedom to be used as an escape mechanism, they gotta make it work against knockdowns, as to reduce X amount of time your character is on the ground according to the ammount of freedom perks you’ve got.
