And no, its not because of the life staff and mage nerfs.
Life staff is still insanely strong.
Mages just added Void Gauntlet to their arsenal and continue to shred everything.
Void Gauntlet removes battle bread in OPR which makes its practically unplayable unless you farm 300 azoth and stock up on 50 breads per game, cool.
Void Gauntlet is just busted period. The scream ability is too strong in terms of its CD and its duration. The damage is nuts.
Desync is insane, especially for melee -
Maelstrom seems to either not hit anything AND have the range of a T-Rex arm?
Dodging and attacking with melee seems to consistently cause some weird desync that appears to be a separate issue to the normal X amount of players in one area causing lag.
Worse part is, I know these issues wont be addressed for a LONG TIME if ever, due to the overwhelming amount of other issues AGS has with the game. Not to mention the amount of tears from mage players and life staff users when AGS made changes before.
The Scream ability with the craft mod perks also give -50% healing against opponent. Healers and tanks in pvp will face hell if a DPS class use void gauntlet as secondary against them. Get close to healer, use oblivion, scream, and orb of decay on the healer. (With the appropriate craft mods of course which remove all buff including food buff, -50% healing, -50% buff duration). Say goodbye to all their buff. and their healing gets halved. Most healers either use Con food or combination of Con/Focus food. That means you will not only lower the healing by 50%, but some of the perks from focus/con attribute as well. I personally think Void Gauntlet being used as a secondary weapon is a must for almost all class now. Because if a DPS use this on you, you must use it back to even it out. If you don’t use it back you will be -40 food,no buffs, and -50% healing disadvantage.
