You literally did blame the players tho? “they can only test it so much and rely on the players to play test and report bugs.”
There should be a QA department Amazon hires to test these bugs. they need over 100 testers. right now they are outsourcing that work onto the players in order to save money.
That is not a proper bug report which further proves my point that people play PTR and dont report bugs PROPERLY. The devs don’t work out of the General Discussion forum. There is a bug reporting thread in the PTR section of the forum and bugs are supposed to be posted there in the bug reporting format. All I’m saying is not a lot of people do that. Sure, there are posts there but most are the same few people reporting bugs they find over and over.
Normally I would agree that people don’t really report these things enough, but I personally spammed reports about the combat all through PTR. I’ve also done so almost daily on this current PTR. In their latest devblog they said that the in-game report is the best way since they have markers to track everything properly and that’s what I’ve always used. It’s possible that not enough people reported these issues, but that’s no excuse since they were definitely reported.
They simply didn’t listen to the feedback like they said they would. If they even played the build internally before release they would notice that something was seriously wrong.
Quit trying to argue a point when reality is many have reported this issue. I don’t play the ptr. I don’t have time to test games for Amazon. So if I am given a garbage product from the result of me not testing how does that fall on me as a consumer? Think about it bud. It’s up to Amazon to test their products before release not the consumers all I can do is showcase how it’s broken. As a consumer I am free to post anywhere I don’t work for Amazon and can not be held liable for their failures.
If what you say is true, and they felt “rushed” to release the Feb. patch on the last day of the month, then there really is no hope for this game. But, I think we already know that. It’s great the Dev team is listening to feedback, but it won’t help if they aren’t capable of producing a relatively stable game.
I played OPR all day today and what I discovered is that the new combat fucking sucks, AGS. Particularly the light armor movement, ability queues, and desync. I like your game, but this isn’t fun. Your last patch would have been a success if you just didn’t messed with the combat so much. You did not need to do this.
Also, I’m pretty sure you didn’t fix weapon swapping at all.
True and a good point. The devs do get some credit for listening to feedback, and that is not the problem. It reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where Jerry made a reservation, but they didn’t keep it.
is it secretly fixed after the duping issue? it feels worse than the worse before now all my keys aren’t responding well that it seems like a connection issue, but only happens during combat, so i would assume it is the game’s problem, an example would be like if i cast orb of protection and swap weapon, it would make the sound as if it was cast but it wasnt
@Shadow_Fox can sm1 from dev team tell us how it is possible that last patch made combat system totaly broken and ETA on fix for this? I mean most ppl i know stop playing or playing like 1-2 opr per day and they are done. All this ppl were playing hardcore since realse. And their friendlists are also empty most of the time.
Devs moved bad quality game from like beta stage to early alpha stage. How it is possible that they are breaking game more and more with every next patch. Even when its “bugs fixes” patch? We just want answers and ETA on fixes.
