UK player here, currently on Midgard (by which I mean, in the queue for Midgard).
Now that most of the big Companies are settled, I was wondering if it would be worth trying to claim an unofficial “UK server” when the server transfers become available - with the majority of the UK Companies in one place (when Amazon add more servers)?
I’ve noticed that Midgard has a lot of English speakers, including folk from the UK, but is probably quite evenly split between the Nordic countries.
I believe Bifrost is the other highest UK based server, with a few UK players on other servers too. Maybe we can ask Amazon to name a new server “Camelot” or something, and make it a home for us Brits to drink tea and annoy each other.
You think all of uk can fit in one server? Good luck
You know of streamers and your social bubble, sad to tell you about my friends on Iroko you did not account for… just go and play with other kids from world and when you dont understand someone take it as roleplay, only ags and steam will have real data of players nationality, which not always correaponds to where they currently live or what language they speak
If sth, we need less dedicated servers, so that players are not scared to join servers they cant speak with and keep things more international
I’m actually a solo player and don’t know anyone else playing New World currently. I’m not opposed to playing with people across the world (I have done so in many other games) but just think it would be cool to unite some of the UK companies who are currently spread out across the servers.
Ultimately I would like to move to a less populated server to avoid long queues, but don’t want to accidentally move to a server where the majority are speaking a language I don’t understand.
