Firstly, I wanted to say to the Community Managers and Dev team: kudos on the steps you’ve taken to try and improve your communication with us so far. I appreciate the stickied posts/channels you guys made.
BUT
We really need some more in depth and frequent communication from you guys, especially in regards to future content plans and feedback on game breaking bugs (or disabled features). I’d highly suggest a roadmap of sorts to kind of give us an unofficial outline for what you guys have planned in the next week or weeks coming up.
Good communication: You acknowledged you broke harvesting gear and said there’d be a fix in the next patch(targeted). Though, I am referencing a reply to someone you guys made, even though you linked it in the official news update: Harvesting Gear Disappeared! - #123 by TigerCr4ne
Poor Communication: There’s been dupes found in furnishing, we’ve disabled furnishing.
Look. I get that this community is becoming increasingly toxic and its difficult to talk to some of us, but those of us that still want to play this game and see it succeed need a stronger presence from you guys. I realize it may not be feasible, but maybe post some videos or something on a weekly basis, at least for now since things are so incendiary. You guys don’t even have to hard commit to changes and your roadmap plans. You can just say: "In December we plan to launch patch 1.2 with x,y,z. or in week 1 of december “enable furnishing” week 2 of december “delete ice gauntlet.” You wouldn’t have to make some elaborate infographic; an excel sheet, forum post or even toilet paper written in crayon would suffice. Just something to keep us looking forward to the next “fix.”
The bottom line is: this is a new game, that a lot of us really like playing and are willing to dump tons of time and passion into. I think a lot of people are feeling like they aren’t being heard and at times it feels a little like screaming into the void on these forums. You can’t deny the release of this game has been… rocky, and I think it would behoove you guys to start some conversations with the players and engage a little more. Despite everything, I have confidence things will get smoothed out and fixed in time.
I really want this to be the best MMO it can be and I hope its something that can be expanded on for years to come.
