C.O.M.M.U.N.I.C.A.T.I.O.N. - This game will die cause of it

I cannot complete this step as the number I have access to, Discord’s discriminatory systems refuses to allow it. I need assistance with gaining access to this server.

e: Tried to DM Luxendra on Discord, only to be told they aren’t accepting messages. How can I bring anything up to a community manager if I can’t even DM?

I joined, it’s a waste of time, haven’t seen a dev say fuck all in there, and it’s completely flooded with complaints about bugs etc, you’ll never get a word in edgewise and nobody cares anyway

If you couldnt agree more… then why not simply tell us the patch isnt coming today.

Be clear around your communication. Stop gas lighting everyone

Frankly the fact you’re holding the patch for more fixes is scary.

Half the fixes from 1.0.2/3 didn’t every work and you even reverted a bunch.

Chances are we wait another week for a patch and half of it doesn’t even work

I’ll go on some more.

You delay the patch but give us vague reasons as to why. The “known issues” list is basically pointless as it doesn’t point to whats actually being addressed.

other then “outpost rush” being worked on everyone is in the dark.

What about 80% of armor perks being broken?

What about 50% of spell talents being broken?

What about Gear taking damage in your inventory when its not equip? This is the end game gold sync and its frankly terrible. Babies first game design

What about You disabling “myrkguard” portals but ALL major invasion portals don’t give loot

What about the 249 str bug that makes melee unplayable above 249+ str

What about all those people who gold duped? whats the go there?

Whats up with pvp armor scaling? Whats the point in even pushing GS when all the armor is squished to same values

How do you plan to address the major exploitation when the core issue is the fact you run a client authority movement structure. There’s no “quick” fix to this decision

Maybe just cleanly answer ONE to begin with.

STOP TOUTING YOUR DISCORD SERVER. Its not a place to give out information, the forums are

sounds like they aren’t allowed to based on posts, and they did say it in CorporateSpeak which was very noncommittal and open to interpretation, on purpose

I am going to have to agree with this one, the discord server doesn’t want me to become a member of it because of the phone verification requirement, which apparently is for ‘security purposes’. Not everyone has mobile numbers Amazon.

I mean its CS’ job to read between the corporate gobble and relay it into actionables/useful information to the user base.

If you’re just going to requote upper management then why even bother frankly. Its delayed because of mismanagement.

And before people say its not mismanagement - 90% of these issues where reported in several closed beta tests, No action & other “fixes” seemed to have been favored over it. We even got a twitter post saying the game was delayed by a month to fix issues, Yet nothing major was even fixed.

And now because the games been likely taken away from those who actually know what they’re doing and into the hands of the marketing team its just gone poop. I mean the main marketting point of the game (wars) doesn’t even function correctly.

If you go back and look at the early day betas this game actually performed better (netcode and mechanics wise). No idea how you guys turned it on its head so badly

this is what im referring to, honestly seems like the lead devs and management are prioritizing the wrong things and doing their public relations as if they were an oil company that just had a spill

The lead dev probably has nothing to do with it. Hes likely just sitting there saying “i told you so”

meanwhile the game director is in panic mode as he’s prio’d all the wrong fixes as he listened to his marketing lead on how to “make the most money”

Overall it’s allways better to give infos even if it’s not what people want to ear than saying nothing.

For the single reason that people even if a bit upset will be happy that at least it seems all team is interested by making the game better for players.
Here it’s exactly the feeling it gives like: “they don’t give a fuck” which is worse than anything else.

For example important feedbacks => no answers (like rift 55 - 65 with azoth staff bug, nearly 2 weeks without a single official answer)
Why would people give feedbacks if team makes them feel like they doesn’t care at all.

PS: Using all caps is a great way to be ignored.

not hard to say," hey guys we are working on a lot of issues and didnt hit tonight’s deadline, it seems like the patch will be delayed a day, potentially more - I’ll keep you updated"

There are some successful games on “steam” with only 1 developer…!!

and these guys communicate on a daily base on discord and give detailed information what they are working on…what they plan and which fixes are planned to come out next AND a road map for the next 3 -6 month…

I guess AGS has only 1 person and he is the community manager AND the Forum Admin AND the developer AND …the project Lead …

…and finally he doesnt play the game…

Can you please remove the “speculative” fixes on things like Client side bug abuse invulns?

This is stuff you should be 100% able to proof inhouse.

Or is it simply speculative because there’s likely dozen more client side auth abuse bugs?

kinda hard to test a 50v50 war happening, they might be able to do some bots with basic ai but it may not be realistic enough to accurately simulate war conditions

This kind of miscommunication you shouldn’t expect from a small indie company. It’s the big companies you can expect them from. The big companies often have multiple offices across the world working on all kinds of different things and the guy working in the London office can’t possibly know everything about what the guy from the Boston office did and pushed out for the next patch.

Probably speculative because they didn’t have time to test thoroughly. Sounds like they wanted to get fixes for these game breaking bugs out asap and had to sacrifice testing to make sure they are 100% absolute and instead hope they work and get them to us now as opposed to like 2-3 weeks later.

At this point every minor and major bugfix was speculative.

I’m actually done with this game…installing overwatch again…also a dead game…but hey…

AT LEAST IT WORKS!
