Like the OP, I have my personal company for gold storage. I am by no means a hardcore trader (after losing a fortune), sell shards, RMT, or get money from another company, but I have played from the start AND dont spend gold recklessly.
Yes, you can use gold to buy physical assests like, asmo, harvestables, etc., but i have been burned and almost burned enough times to hesitate to dump ALL my gold into them so I diversify.
When? Early on I had almost every gold coin tied up in refining mats - AGS heavily increased the drop rate and I lost a fortune… and this was when gold was extremely hard to find. Addition of ori/starmetal ore nodes dropping the price by 50-65%, the ability to convert mods dropping the price by some over 50%. Do I trust them not to double the amount of legendary mats you can do daily… no. AGS can cut your total wealth during any update.
I’ve got a little over 20,000 asmodeum stored in my vault, because I’ve been buying it whenever the price is low.
I have about 3mil of liquid gold in my company coffers.
I used to sell shards, but that was when I was barely scraping by and needed the gold. I’ve made maybe about 200k gold off of gold selling and it all went back into the economy, right away.
I think it’s great that they’re making people choose between being part of Wars or hoping they’re one of God’s elite 15, if they want to keep their gold hoarding company.
Buy asmo or another stable resource to invest your gold into, because doing that helps the economy.
Hoarding that gold in its raw form is not helping the economy, it actually hurts it. Investing in said resource puts the gold back into the economy at little to no loss for you. You remain rich, economy remains healthy.
some people don’t like trusting asmo as a source because the value fluctuates too much. much rather keep it in gold.
that said I’d rather be able to just have it and not worry about having a one man company and join a bigger one. no reason not to up the gold cap.
For people who transfer servers to buy gear, asmo can be tough, but still probably the best option. I was on Dry Tree a few days ago and it was in the mid 280s. Didn’t bother checking the depth of the availability, because it moved into the 290s pretty quick. Sell orders, of course, not buy orders. Came to Castle of Steel and it was in the high 260s a day and a half ago. Now it’s around 290. But on my home server, asmo is consistently in the 240s. So if I make a couple sales and I get over gold cap, I have to buy something. Because you can’t transfer if you’re in a company, meaning no extra gold storage. But asmo is going to give me a 20% haircut unless I sell it on a different server. So I’ve been trying to fill up on gear that I can sell when I get home, or at least unload some gold so that I can start dealing again.
If I were on a more populated server, it might make sense to store asmo. But where I’m at, I’m better off buying out the TP while I’m here, then selling it on other servers.
doesnt matter how many hours you play.
some do couple of wars a week and have all the gold.
i open 1k boxes from opr and cant use a single item from it.
thats f broken.
if everyone spend all the money … all the prices of materials is going to be so expensive making hard for the new players… all price will raise with an uncontrol inflaction
I reached gold cap after 3 months of playing xd, while everyone were complaning about taxes, no gold or repair costs I had 350k xd and kept dping dungeons and stockpilenruns for artifacts xd Now I have like in mats and sellable eq like 2-3m ? Never been in any large company so have not earned gold from taxes. Nowadays just by doing arenas and OPRs and 2-3 dungs daily I earn 7-8k ? Sadly there is nothing I can save this gold anymore xd
it fluctuates between 220 and 300 here. sometimes a bit less. and it’s not stupid to think that the meta for crafting could change and some new hotness introduced to make the asmo irrelevant. remember when void ore used to have a ton of value…
Asmodeum isnt going down in price anytime soon dude dont worry… and theres always other things to store money as lol. But again, they should just raise the cap imo. Anyone who thinks otherwise is wrong
