Company Name was changed due to mass report

Hello. Me and my company have had issues with the report system now for many weeks. I have attempted to get help for this issue many times. I know this isn’t the most important thing right now. But its one of the things that have also piled on top of our frustrations.

After 30 minutes of Launch… I created a company. I decided to name this company after my community name as it is a company for my community.

  • The name was “503”

Random assortment of numbers we picked over 6 years ago.

For a week or so… We was happy grinding up. Doing company pvp together under the name 503. Until we came across a rather semi-mediocre streamer that had 1.5k viewers at the time who had pvp on. Admittedly 5-6 of us did jump on him and immediately killed him. This lead to very unhappy feelings on his part (Not going to name the streamer) But this is what followed…

1.) The streamer encouraged his viewers to mass report us.
2.) I was spammed ingame by his viewers in PM’s masses amount of filtered messages… I couldn’t imagine they was saying nice things to me.
3.) Majority of his userbase then was encouraged to go to the AGS support. And report our company as a whole.

Result - A little while after mass spamming reports on our company. Me and the other consuls got a message on our screen that our company has been flagged for “having an inappropriate name” It then forcibly changed our name to something like this “skshsdhjshdiwhihahka” and it kept flagging us over and over and changing our name until we had to pick a new one.

Almost a month ago I sent to customer support. Raised this issue with them, They told me they will be looking into this issue and passing it up to their team to look at… Yet they promised me a human looked at the reports before actioning against my company name… but couldn’t tell me why it was inappropriate to have the name 503

4-5 days past and No word from AGS… So I got in contact with a support agent once more… They directed me to their ban appeal process? I argued that I haven’t been banned but they still insisted I fill it in… so I did. No response. Yet they promised me a human looked at the reports before actioning against my company name… but couldn’t tell me why it was inappropriate to have the name 503

  • 3rd contact

4-5 days later… No word from AGS. So I got in contact with again. The current AGS support worker claimed to have escalated my issue and if I needed anymore information they would reach out to me… Yet they promised me a human looked at the reports before actioning against my company name… but couldn’t tell me why it was inappropriate to have the name 503.

Every single time I contacted them… No one was able to provide me with any information or help. It was like I was almost shrugged off every time. I know this is not an important issue. A company name is a company name…

I love playing new world. I would say I’m an addict. While I believe many parts of the game is broken. it has potential. But dont have a support company if it doesnt function as one.

Their customer support may be the worst the gaming market has seen in a long time, if not ever.
