Would be nice to have a category on this forum site to recruit people like Destiny 2 does. Not everyone has the recruitment and faction chat turned on for their feed and may be looking for companies to join. If im missing where this is located it would be nice to know.

Frankly, I am disappointed and frustrated by the lack of one. New World is an MMORPG built around companies, factions, and faction warfare. The fact that there is no category for Company Recruitment on the Official Forums, not to mention some form of Company Finder tools in-game, is yet another in a growing list of Quality of Life failures by AGS.
Things like the importance of character names to many players and the complete failure of AGS on that front, along with the lack of any tools for company recruitment in-game or on the forums, make me honestly feel that the folks at AGS do not understand their own player base. And the lack of basic QoL features make it seem like nobody at AGS has ever played an MMORPG before.
If you want to respond that there is Reddit and Discord, I will very much disagree. First of all, such a vital feature should not be dismissed to a third-party to handle. Second, both the Reddit and Discord are terrible resources for company recruitment.
The game forces a faction choice at around level 10, and of course faction choice is tied to comnapnies. The only thing we have in game are recruitment messages on a chat channel and it is impossible to make any kind of informed choice on a company from a few lines on in game chat. Also, you have to be online and watching that chat when a potential fit posts a message. It is a weak and inefficient substitution for a real system.
Amazon games Studio really needs to hire some people who have actually played an MMORPG before to help them make some Quality of Life improvemnts to their game.

Was thinking last night tbh it would be nice if there was an option in the list of companies on the company page, for people to request to join companies that align with their factions, rather than relying on seeing people do call outs for recruitment.
That way company leaders/members with roles able to invite other players in, don’t have to pause what they’re doing every 10-30 minutes to put out an advertisement for their company. This being said, featuring a bio of what the company’s goal is would be nice too so you know if you’re entering a social/pvp/pve company. People request to join companies that align with their interests, and then companies can accept said requests if they’re looking to build their numbers up.
Absolutely agree. Just bought the game but thought I’d scan for a like minded Guild. Frustrating.
