So, some huge insanely BIG hardcore guild joined my server on the Yellow side. Basically purple and green average highest is around level 45 when those guy’s have multiple 55+ ALREADY.
They are taking every territory on the server one by one.
Chicomoztoc dead server soon. Can’t wait for free transfers.
If they add a limit of 1 territory per company, people will just make “companyName II” etc. to hold multiple territories within the same player group.
Big guilds already do this due to company size limits (i.e. if the guild/community has more than 100+ members but sitll want to operate as one group).
The problem is very real, but we may need a more subtle way of dealing with it.
Perhaps tackling the underlying issue - faction imbalance within individual servers - would be appropriate. Thoughts on this?
This sucks and it will continue, but there isn’t a real fix for it either.
On my server, there is the RSA or Royal Syndicate Alliance. they have multiple companies acting under one banner with over 280+ members collectively.
Literally as above stated.
Sometimes I wonder if this should itself be forbidden. Not just in New World, but as a general premise across mmo’s.
There’s a reason the given devs set the given game to have a given size limit for their “guilds”, and sometimes it honestly feels like players should not be able to ignore those reasons, and negate the decision, by circumventing the mechanic. Sometime it honestly feels like there should be an actual rule that “you are not allowed to have a group larger than the number we specified. You don’t get to have a bigger guild.”
This would of course be one of the most unenforcable rules ever, I do understand that, but that doesn’t automatically mean it shouldn’t be a rule. And it wouldn’t be 100% unenforcable… just nearly that.
