Rather then break the game more for “compensation” I would rather see them work on improving downtimes and shortening them and preventing issues like this from happening again.

Everyone here paid for thier game. You’re not a special butterfly. Unexpected downtime is all part and parcel of playing MMOs. Especially brand new ones. If you didn’t know that before, now you do. Go forward with this expectation and you won’t be as disappointed when it happens next time. (Probably next week)

most of their players are in Europe… and AGS don’t do business in a place without earning money on it… because if they didn’t earn money, that part would be cut away and ditched
While I do agree that this game is buy to play and not pay to play, it’s really hard to compensate for not caring about eu players.
What I find really sad, is that because the US servers went up so early in the US, let alone the time is better there as well, its pretty sad that American players are mocking the second hand citizens for servers not being up.
Are you Americans really so patriotic that you have to attack Europeans for pointing out the flaws in amazon’s handling of the European maintenance?
To be honest, I’ve never seen a community going to toxic so fast like the American player base have become in New World, and if both amazon and the American patriots are gonna mock Europeans, people will start to leave in frustration.
Really stupid to mock the biggest playerbase, and also unnecessary for players from other continents to mock people being affected by incompetence.
I’ve never in my history of gaming seen someone being directly happy over seeing so many people not being able to play. This is the most toxic community I’ve been a part of so far, and that’s a red flag for me.
Let the poor yanks gloat. With the healthcare costs over there they ain’t living long enough to enjoy a good amount of schadenfreude. Bless them and their bald eagles.

I dont expect anything for free and I understand that downtime is neccessary 
AGS is doing fine, I hope weekly fixes continue to come instead of keeping bugs longer
No, they really are not doing fine. 10 hours of downtime during EU prime time is not doing fine.
Game launched regionally so why can’t we have patches done regionally?

Bless Unleashed is a free game but everytime they doing maintgeance (on night in EU Server) they alway give something for free bag expansion ressurrection scroll is not that hard and cost nothing for them

You are not entitled to a single damn thing, if you are oblivious of the issues an mmo has at launch then it’s your own fault for getting invested in to something that you clearly don’t know anything about.

Could be they schedule updates and maintenance when it works best for the employees work schedule? We are in a global economy and that global economy is basically going 24 hours a day in every zone. We don’t all work the same hours even in the same time zones. No matter when they do the maintenance someone is going to be upset. Doesn’t make sense to determine when updates are based on populations of players. That would mean adjusting schedules and populations flux. Best to go by what works for the employees doing the work.
They are based on the US West Coast and scheduled maintenance for 3 AM local time. So it’s not for their employee’s schedule. It’s to inconvenience US customers as little as possible, while giving zero shits about the rest of the world, even though Europe alone is a larger playerbase than NA East and West combined.
edit: There is no time slot for a 5 hour maintenance that would fit every region. Which is why having a global maintenance period is a stupid idea that should’ve been shut down the moment it was suggested by anyone with 2 functioning brain cells. They need to swap to regional patching ASAP so that they can patch each region in its off hours. This would completely negate all the complaints that came yesterday because patching would have been 3 AM to Noon EU time instead of Noon - 9 PM (or longer for some servers).
Also, 5 hours for a small patch is excessive to say the least. They should have the option of having new nodes ready to spin up immediately so that the process goes: prep patched nodes, bring down unpatched nodes, perform any DB changes, spin up patched nodes. This shouldn’t be more than an hour unless they committed several cardinal design sins early on in development.
It could be for employee schedule. When I was doing maintenance it happened late at night when there was less people around. It fit my schedule and the companies schedule.
Not sure where are you comming from, but I had to earn the money to buy this game.
