The problem here is not taking a break from playing whole days and nights, the problem for me is that I finally had a free afternoon that is over and for today I cannot play a game that I BOUGHT due to a maintenance that could have been better managed.

This downtime is a negative thing in addition to the other problems like a lot of bugs, many queues. That’s why we are annoyed
This all depends on your perspective. If it helps, take the view that the EU has far higher standards, so all the untested rubbish gets pushed out there first

In the end we waited for nothing. All the bugs from before are still there and the only new they brought into the game are even more bugs. Encountered already a few new ones in 15 minutes.
more than 9 hours of maintenance … US is second (or third) category for Amazon … I propose a general strike by the US players. I have paid for a game that I cannot play one of the two days off that I have a week. They leave us the last being the hot hours on this continent. There are no explanations of any kind. Personally, I am VERY disappointed with the treatment they give us. On this server we have a very important mass of players, so I propose that we stop playing / recommending / buying anything for a few days. Let’s see if they listen to us a bit like that …

there is a huge difference here. You are not obliged to read those craps whe nplayers have no choice and have to wait. By the way i don’t want personnaly any rewards, but you must admit that there is a problem here.

It is 10 hours so far, and still no estimated finish line. It is not a few hours. And it is primetime.
And no, it is not the way it is needs to be done. I never saw any game where a patch not happens in the same time on every server, or at least almost simultan. We are over the estimated 5 hours with 5 more hours, and the whole thing started in our primetime. It is lame, amateur and basicly a joke, no matter at this point why it is happened.
Hey man, I completely agree there is an issue and it should be addressed; however, with that said, whining about it in 400 separate threads does nothing but to insight others to be the opposition to it, not to spite it, but rather to end the non stop creation of new ‘EU Servers down, US Bad’ threads, its ridiculous. We get it, stay in a single thread so your voices act as a chorus together with power rather then the sound of an annoying single mosquitoes near me ears.
We paid for a service, what we want to use. Like US players can. Yeah, it is a game, but still a service what we paid for. They sold it without sub, it is not our problem what we should deal with. And yeah, it is not the end of the world, but it is nonsense that they shit on us that much so early in the game as customers.

I used to read WoW forums of people freaking out over extended downtime back in the day purely for entertainment. Now I get to do the same with New World. It’s all the same, Karens demanding some sort of value to be added to their account (a sub, discount off items, etc). It’s so funny
