Before outrage breaks out from the unbalance I want to give ASG a heads up on their current promises to give companies “compensation” for the merge. Giving all the companies who are already milking dead servers for gold more gold is a lose for everyone except the companies receiving the gold. This will SEVERELY hinder your solo player base which would be a large percentage of your audience.
Compensation for housing taxes, and town downgrades from when the trade post was down STILL haven’t been issued. It’s amazing to me that the priority of ASG is to reward players who exploit or have massive companies who can funnel their players and greatly reduce the time required for many things.
My company owned EF for a long time until our server completely died and there were no more yellow left to help defend. we owned EF during the time the market was down and no one could trade, and EF downgraded because of it. NO compensation for the small players doing the most. Compensation and rewards are only for people stomping on every other player using anything and everything to their advantage. As soon as i see the players that I know have half the time as me and twice as more, i’ll be leaving because my time is clearly not valued as much as other players by ASG.
50k per territory compensation before other compensation on US servers will more then likely kill a decent % the player base as people will completely lose interest in gathering/playing solo.
PS if any yellow would like to make the easiest gold of their lifetime come to Oponskoye US East and we can take over the map so easily, the large purple and green companies are very unskilled and undergeared for PVP. 50k per territory with a group of 40 active players you could take the entire map.
Can you back up your claim that solo players are a huge percentage of the player base? More likely, you are a solo player that thinks your experience is the same as everyone elses. It is discouraging to read your next points, and I wont, because your logic breaks in the first paragraph. Just a heads up.
lol you must be from a high pop server, just fyi i guarantee you there are more solo players or players in small companies then there are players in the biggest companies. Believe it or not i could care less lol all you’d have to do is spend a little time on any server besides high pops to see that i’m right
So you think Companies that spent 15k in a war to get the territory, and countless thousands more keeping the territory upgraded, upgrading past downgrades from unwinnable invasions and paying territory upkeep costs in low pop servers which becomes an insane money sink so fast it would make your head spin should just get absolutely nothing from losing their territory when they’re merged?
It seems like an issue to you. That’s fine. But you’re making flawed arguments. You cannot back up your claims with proof and you are mostly whining. You are not willing to have a constructive discussion and allow your feelings to drive your rants. Your post is poorly done.
I’m sure there exists solo players, even on high pop servers. Existence does not logically mean majority. And blanket statements does not equate to a sound argument. I might have agreed with the OP if the post was intelligent. Probably not, because the compensation is the least of my worries. My argument is that one cannot assume that their opinion is the absolute opinion of everyone. Simply, make claims backed by proof, offer solutions and be open to critisisms in a constructive manner.
All of the servers in my world set have a peak of somewhere between 50 and 100 players. merging all 7 together would inject 550k coins per server, into the economy. that would be near near enough 3 million gold injected into the mostly vacant companies, whom I imagine will mostly pocket that gold and use it to purchase items for themselves, given that many of these companies are dead and the territories they currently own are already fully downgraded.
the compensation for low pop servers is kind of a big deal. For instance our server has had one company owning all of the major hubs (WW, EF, BW) for months, and when the mergers were announced they began to wipe the server, and now own the entire map and are raising taxes. In order to avoid being able to lose those big territories they have split their companies into multiple companies and are using second accounts as the gov of that new company. So Company A, B, C and D are all the same person’s company, and they own all of the major hubs and some of the outlying territories. If they give companies 50k per zone owned… thats a lot of money into an individuals pocket, and just encourages greedy behaviors to wipe maps… they saw it happening as soon as they announced mergers.
