yea i suppose thats understandable. i can see where that has the potential to become an issue. my outlook on it tho is not that it should be expected every time something goes wrong but the fact that a major part of the game is inaccessible for a couple days or possibly longer should have some sort of jump to help get the flow going again. its going to kill the market when it comes back up because every body is going to flood it with things to sell. but on that same token i dont believe a handout of any type should be given on any sort of regular basis because it also kills the encouragement of gameplay. like im not trying to be entitled or anything, but for instance if i go to a restaurant and they fuck up my food id expect that i either get my money back or my food get replaced.

A typical single player RPG has somewhere in the ballpark of 40-100 hours of playthrough time. Games like Death Stranding and a few others may have more. How may hours do you have in New World?

Absolutely NO WAY would I remotely want to own this game without trading being a part of it.
Don’t call it “crying” if we demand a refund, if trading is not turned back on soon, or I have all sorts of unpleasant things to say to you.
If you’re going to ask that, then, I’m gonna need you to refer to the game as: “tree chopping and walking simulator”, because, in no way is your question appropriate, considering how 90+% of the game is “grinding” as opposed to actual fun content.
If, on the other hand, you would care to retract your ridiculous comparison, then I could say yes, you do get lots of (mostly fun) playtime from this game.
Compensation is a tool developers can use to create a good feeling, and even as an apology, among the player base after some period of distress and frustration due to an unplanned extended period of maintenance. I see no problem with that.
What kind of compensation is up to the developers.
