Computer crashed and now game is unplayable

Today at around 6pm PST, my computer crashed while playing new world (black screen). I have around 180 hours played so far, and FPS has never been an issue until today after the crash.
Computer started back up fine, but when I went to open the game, I’m getting 2-10 FPS even in the menus before entering the world. I tested other games and they are working fine.

-Restarted computer multiple times
-updated windows after the crash
-current NVidia driver is being used
-Uninstalled Steam and New World; reinstalled both and still have the same issues

Computer specs:
AMD Ryzen 7 1700x
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 Super

Appreciate any help I can get (quickly if possible! trying to get to 60 :frowning: :frowning: )

Hello Hefaestus1, welcome to New World Forums! Im sorry to hear your game performance is being greatly reduced since the crash! Have you noted any increase resource usage or increase temperature?

Could you please check the troubleshooting steps outlined here please let me know if there is any change.

SOLVED- I actually found another forum user with the same issue I had. It turns out that after the crash, New World started using Citrix (a program used for my work) as my graphics instead of my graphics card. I uninstalled Citrix and the game is now working as intended. Here is the forum post which directly applied to me: Sudden FPS drop (from 60+ to 10-12 on main menu) - #2 by amishrocker396

Thank you!
