Congratulation nerfing Life staff! (again)

Cry me a river. I love it. Life staff should be nerfed 5 more times at least.

The OP is asking for:

*visual confirmation they are hitting a target with heals.

*bigger projectile so hitting a target requires comparatively the same precision as before.

How is a lifestaff user automatically an abuser? Trick question they arent.

And by that logic you’d be asking all healers to quit the game.

Perfect for players who complain about 1v1 not being balanced for every possible matchup. Awful for literally every other combat activity in the game.

There are so many DPS players who feel like they should be able to melt everyone else with the same strategy.

Ranged (non magical)

You can out range, deal higher damage and your projectiles move faster. Are other ranged weapons OP? No. Frustrating yes?

Mobility

You disengage/rengage combat with ease and do higher damage. Should that mean mobility is OP? No. Frustraring yes.

CC

Control combat flow and lock down opponents. In the hands of a competent player, CC hard counters lifestaff. Is CC OP? No. Frustrating yes.

Healer

You heal and buff defenses. Goodluck killing people with a slow, low damage limited range projectile.

But dont forget everyone: Using Healing abilities is OP and you shouldnt be able to do that. We need the devs to nerf lifestaff healing until it is so irrelevant that pure DPS players can win every matchup with little effort. (Sarcasm)

Im a SS/LS tank. Dont want to fight me in PVP just run away. I cant catch you and I sure as hell have no ranged ability but you know I have LS so im a god. Now if I want to disengage I’m screwed.

I have tested it quiet alot now with a friend I always group with and direct hits with life staff do not heal. The green glow pops up but it doesnt heal at all no numbers for me. No increase for him. I will have to check debuff of heavy but I suspect the same

I picked LS at game release because in MMOs healers are always hard to come by and I dont want to wait longer to find a group for dungeons.

I picked GA as my second because I wanted some form of CC for utility and it has charge which isnt much of a disengage because of end animation but better than nothing.

Ive been absolutely owned by good Ice Gauntlet/Firestaff and Hammer/Sword and Shield.

Musket and bow is kinda 50/50 if they keep range I cant really hurt them but if Im patient I can keep myself alive atleast and close the gap if they get reckless.

Rapier users can just disengage and zip away. Doesnt matter if I chain GA CC on them I wont have the damage output to kill them before they spin away and drink potion. If they want to run they are gone. Im fine with that, it’s their kit.

I dont see much hatchet or spear players but the ones I have fought werent very good. They spammed abilities predictably and didnt move or dodge very much. so I cant say how much ups feel.

Ya im SS/LS the damage is garbage its all about being a turtle. Some fights I win A few I lose and some people just give up. If I can get the full chain of healing off and swap I have huge mitigation. The healing is big but the mitigation buffs make a huge deal. Once you have so much Fortify stacked and your shield blocking people feel like there hitting a bolder with a rubber bat.

Again the draw back is A High focus SS build is trash for damage because almost all you SS talent are in the shield tree and you run low Str so thats the trade off.

they cant kill you you cant kill them…or it is hard both ways rather… that seems like well um balance.

Except pvp’ers only want balance if it gets them a win. If they lose, it’s not balance it’s time for nerfs.

Im actually a PvPer. I just understand each classes strengths and weaknesses.

You can choose weapons that complement eachother by filling in the gaps which provides more balanced combat.

OR

You can pick similar weapons and specialize which takes your strength and weaknesses to their extremes. In other words not a lot of room for error or you will be punished for not playing to your strengths. But if mastered is more effective at what they do vs others with mixed builds.

First off I am seeing more than one person healing. Secondly, no one died. If lifestaff was so uber how come no one died? Lastly, I see no one stunning or interrupting the person healing. That is just bad playstyle.

Lifestaff is not overpowered, it is doing what it is designed to do, heal. Learn how to play.

Please nerf life staff more. It allows way too much self healing and requires zero skill.

The main purpose for lifestaff builds, imo, would be for solo players. Lifestaff PvP can be nerfed :stuck_out_tongue:

I’d like to see your ez pziness self go solo some end game bosses, just using your two brain cells and dodging. Love to see how you win those fights.

Im not attacking. I am genuinely asking what you think should be nerfed. It hasn’t been a great DPS weapon for me. Not horrible, but not great. If they are just weakening the heals, then I see this as an unnecessary nerf. The heals arn’t that overpowered

orb nerfed today boys and Girls Sigh. On top of the resilience fix this will be fun for the LS users.

As a tank I always Shoot Orb directly at my feet for the Buff so im hoping with the solid object hit collision still enabled this still works. If not its another solid nerf to self healing/buffing for LS users.

acttually no have you hit 60 yet? have you ran the current content where bosses one shot you if your not in heavy armor? guess not I’m also gonna guess you don’t do elite areas or anything above 55.
