Congratulation nerfing Life staff! (again)

Im a SS/LS tank. Dont want to fight me in PVP just run away. I cant catch you and I sure as hell have no ranged ability but you know I have LS so im a god. Now if I want to disengage I’m screwed.

I have tested it quiet alot now with a friend I always group with and direct hits with life staff do not heal. The green glow pops up but it doesnt heal at all no numbers for me. No increase for him. I will have to check debuff of heavy but I suspect the same

I picked LS at game release because in MMOs healers are always hard to come by and I dont want to wait longer to find a group for dungeons.

I picked GA as my second because I wanted some form of CC for utility and it has charge which isnt much of a disengage because of end animation but better than nothing.

Ive been absolutely owned by good Ice Gauntlet/Firestaff and Hammer/Sword and Shield.

Musket and bow is kinda 50/50 if they keep range I cant really hurt them but if Im patient I can keep myself alive atleast and close the gap if they get reckless.

Rapier users can just disengage and zip away. Doesnt matter if I chain GA CC on them I wont have the damage output to kill them before they spin away and drink potion. If they want to run they are gone. Im fine with that, it’s their kit.

I dont see much hatchet or spear players but the ones I have fought werent very good. They spammed abilities predictably and didnt move or dodge very much. so I cant say how much ups feel.

Ya im SS/LS the damage is garbage its all about being a turtle. Some fights I win A few I lose and some people just give up. If I can get the full chain of healing off and swap I have huge mitigation. The healing is big but the mitigation buffs make a huge deal. Once you have so much Fortify stacked and your shield blocking people feel like there hitting a bolder with a rubber bat.

Again the draw back is A High focus SS build is trash for damage because almost all you SS talent are in the shield tree and you run low Str so thats the trade off.

they cant kill you you cant kill them…or it is hard both ways rather… that seems like well um balance.

Except pvp’ers only want balance if it gets them a win. If they lose, it’s not balance it’s time for nerfs.

Im actually a PvPer. I just understand each classes strengths and weaknesses.

You can choose weapons that complement eachother by filling in the gaps which provides more balanced combat.

OR

You can pick similar weapons and specialize which takes your strength and weaknesses to their extremes. In other words not a lot of room for error or you will be punished for not playing to your strengths. But if mastered is more effective at what they do vs others with mixed builds.

First off I am seeing more than one person healing. Secondly, no one died. If lifestaff was so uber how come no one died? Lastly, I see no one stunning or interrupting the person healing. That is just bad playstyle.

Lifestaff is not overpowered, it is doing what it is designed to do, heal. Learn how to play.

Please nerf life staff more. It allows way too much self healing and requires zero skill.

The main purpose for lifestaff builds, imo, would be for solo players. Lifestaff PvP can be nerfed :stuck_out_tongue:

I’d like to see your ez pziness self go solo some end game bosses, just using your two brain cells and dodging. Love to see how you win those fights.

Im not attacking. I am genuinely asking what you think should be nerfed. It hasn’t been a great DPS weapon for me. Not horrible, but not great. If they are just weakening the heals, then I see this as an unnecessary nerf. The heals arn’t that overpowered

orb nerfed today boys and Girls Sigh. On top of the resilience fix this will be fun for the LS users.

As a tank I always Shoot Orb directly at my feet for the Buff so im hoping with the solid object hit collision still enabled this still works. If not its another solid nerf to self healing/buffing for LS users.

acttually no have you hit 60 yet? have you ran the current content where bosses one shot you if your not in heavy armor? guess not I’m also gonna guess you don’t do elite areas or anything above 55.

This i’m learning a lot about this community and I can say almost 85% of the community must be former WoW or FFXIV players who are complete carebears. no offense if offends anyone.

But I have 100% noticed that much % of the community are bad players. and I mean very bad so bad that they do not even belong in this game.

I am ashamed that so many are this bad. however for the whiners in here please learn to play your class/weapon. please learn what free aim is and what hitboxes are this is not WoW.

This game is so based off BDO without the combos. this means if your cursor or weapon are off by even a hair your damage will either be reduced or miss this also means dodge is op when you roll you are given an iframe meaning you are immune to damage during that role unless it was a dot already placed.

So seriously people learn to play. this nerf has no effort on us healers btw it effects group play meaning you won’t be getting your fortify anymore so you’ll be taking that extra 15% damage now so do not come crying when you run into a geared player and get roflstomed because your healer couldn’t heal you.

Just wait till the strength bugs fixed and you find out how hard the Hammer/axe hurts.

Also gear plays a part the 1v10 video had a healer with a 585 gear score almost no one but the few exploiting unlimited bosses have that so i’d expect to never kill anyone with a 585 gearscore with the PVP gear as the perks on it can roll insanely well.

Also if you see a healer and your trying to hit them during a dodge roll. you are just bad and should stop posting tbh.

Either way give it 3-5 more weeks people will be whining very fast about PVE/PVP and how healers are trash and need a buff. either way healers are so easy to counter atm just seems no one knows how to or plays bad as hell.

Also no one plays a light armor for a reason. you take almost 2000% more damage there are vids of this atm a geared 577 was able to kill a 561 healer in 2 hits from a heacy+light attack he hit the dude for 8.9k with a heavy attack the resist on light armor is to low to use with how many players you face in PvP. you can not use it period the resist are to low that it gets you killed, in PVE light you can take hits up to 60,000 damage no one not even a tank has this much hp let alone 20k with max con right now heavy is all that’s stopping the damage. they wont nerf it because of this they know there damage values for 60 content is just to high.

Regardless I myself tried to use light and medium and it was horrible dodge rolls didn’t help you get 2 shoted by almost anyone who has the proper gear stats/setup or in a lot cases the famous 11-12k musket powered shot on a light user which is kinda why heavy is needed.

They cant nerf player damage atm either because then they make 60 content not possible. right now this would require a complete game overhaul sadly I don’t think its possible without losing all investors and bankrupting the game as it would not be worth to keep a game alive with 0 investors

on top of that amber gem scaling not fixed so for now let’s stop playing life staff or heal once and for all. Well done
