I really like New World and am very excited to play it.
The situation with long queues is understandable as the game is quite popular and people aren’t settling in terms of server choices.
What I find less understandable, is the repeating crashes with the queues, which always bring you back to the very end of it rather than save your position.
I keep running into this issue:
It’s been 7-8 hours, in which this exact error happened twice. I keep waiting to get to #1 in queue, then just as I do, instead of being logged in- the queue crashes. I am then placed at the end of the queue, forced to wait hours more.
This issue always happens just as I reach #1 in the queue, not before
Yesterday I was able to go through the queue perfectly, this issue started occurring earlier today.
Me and my friends all took days off of work to play together, so I will truly appreciate any means of helping me get into the game so we can continue playing together, or any insights you might have.
Ive literally got this EXACT problem since launch. Had 0 issues for the beta but literally have yet to be able to play it since launch due to this reason. Ive tried every little trick and back door work around suggested. I am not resetting my router every time i want to play the game. that is a game problem and shouldnt even be a thing heh.
Happened twice to me already after hours of waiting in a queue. The “fix” to wait a few minutes and be back at the front of the queue did not work at all after about 5 minutes of waiting after clicking ok. That’s just 2 days wasted, because I won’t wait for hours again just be given the privilege of a new error - the problem is on your side, please fix it! As a side note, from time to time I cannot even start to join the queue, because of your weird internet routing issues, which can be solved by a VPN or DNS change, but this time I was using my standard settings to queue successfully for some hours.
Disclaimer - there is nothing wrong with my PC or my internet connection, it is a fairly powerful PC with latest updates and drivers, very stable 500mbit fiber and so on. I use it daily for software development work, so I know what I’m talking about.
