Hello Adventurers & welcome to the forum community!
We are sorry to hear about this issue and we apologize for the inconveniences.
Can you try this please:
Make sure that your computer isn’t downloading Windows updatesIdentify if others in your household are running high bandwidth applications like video streaming, or online gaming. Closing high bandwidth applications or turning off high bandwidth devices may reduce latency. Make sure your system clock is set to the correct time.
Second, try the following. Close and relaunch the Steam client. If needed, you can uninstall it and reinstall it. Then go to Verify Integrity of Game Files - Steam Support in order to Verify Integrity of Game Files.
Finally, We can try some connectivity troubleshooting, like: Checks for Windows updatesOpen task manager and close any aplication other than: Steam / New world / Anti cheat Restart modem and router, we recommend switching to a wired connection Try adding Windows firewall exceptions manually:
Press Windows + R, type “firewall.cpl” into the Run window, and then press Enter.
Click Allow an app or feature through Windows Firewall and then click Change settings.
Look for the game in the list of allowed apps and features. If it’s present, make sure it’s checked, and that both the Private and Public columns have a check mark. If the game is missing from the list, you must add it. Forward ports on your router Try opening the necessary ports on your router to allow traffic between your network and our servers. If you don’t know how to forward ports, https://portforward.com/ is a good place to learn. You can also test your luck on Google if you’re feeling lucky. If opening these ports doesn’t resolve the issue, we recommend checking with your ISP (internet service provider). In some cases, your ISP may be limiting traffic on certain ports, which can impact your ability to play our games.
TCP: 80, 443
UDP: 33435
Please use a different server to see if its happening on all servers.
I am able to log into my new characters… but I am not able to log into my main on Opona.
This is not an issue with our connectivity… game is working and our clients are working as i would not be able to log into a character on any server. My guess is you guys are having an issue with something on these characters.
Have you tried logging in the Characters your self with GM powers ? All i know is it’s not on my end. and port forwarding isn’t going to fix an issue where the game is working just fine on other servers.
DX Diag’s are not going to fix this … I would suggest restarting your login server. Considering it appears more and more people are now getting the issue.
Received this error:
Unrecoverable Error.
No product information found, cannot initialize the Game. Please contact Customer Service for this product.
Received this error when trying to start New World. Never got to the login, etc.
So, this is a game client that was working from 7pm-7:30pm PST. Then the player logged out to the main menu of the game. When the player tried to log back in at 8pm PST he started getting the error this thread is titled with.
US West region
Lintukoto server
ShiveryTimbers (character)
PC running this game is Win10 and fully updated. Worth noting that it was working properly a couple hours ago - but magically started having problems after logging out the game’s main menu for 30 minutes or so.
Timed out while waiting for server to spawn the Player.
We have another account actively logged into the game - on the same network.
Good luck getting this fixed. Hope customers are kind, and the server gods smile on your devs while they figure this out. We’ll try again tomorrow night.
Edit: Had some extra time so I tried some other things. They didn’t work.
Then I realized I’m an idiot. I hadn’t Google’d the error message.
So I did - came up with tons of hits, most saying pretty much the same thing.
Seems it’s a known bug that came up in the Beta. The explanation is that it’s a logout bug. Characters seem to not log out properly during high use times, and logging in again fails because the character is still “registered” as logged in.
Apparently waiting a few hours will clear this.
So basically, known bug, documented in beta, still exists, well documented at large - but support is unaware of it.
We’ll see what happens after letting the account “rest” till tomorrow. My bad for not thinking to Google the error message. Maybe pass that on.
This is my issue now all after I quit the game while I was trying to log in for the first time today. So I think my character is “stuck” there so to speak.
I have the same issue and it with my character Karandor on US EAST: Balnibarbi. I was able to create and log into a character on another server. It is definitely something on the server side.
EDIT: It is now suddenly working. I had the error for about 1.5-2 hours. Nevermind, I got it after the queue…
I just got the same message. If it helps just prior to this happening my last login session I suddenly was unable to interact with anything, couldn’t skin, couldn’t interact with a well or the mission givers.
We are fully aware of some issues regarding our servers and the developer team is already working to fix it.
In the meantime when you receive this error “Timed out while waiting for server to spawn the Player” you can try a less populated server or wait a few hours usually the access work.
This is happening to me as well. I have been trying to login to this character for the last 2 hours. I have uninstalled/reinstalled the game and even installed on a different PC. Still get the same time out message.
I tested creating a new character on another server and I can get it no problem. I would rather not start completely over though. I would like to play on my main character that I have hours into already.
