For the passed 3 to 4 days, I have been unable to really play because of this. I have went through all of the steps that have already been outlined in other threads;
Ran command prompt in admin flushed my dns, registered my dns, released my connection, renewed my connection.
Opened all required ports, portforwarded the game and disabled my firewall briefly.
Tried running the game with a VPN with the connection point being in areas all over Canada and the United States.
Unchecked IPv6, Checked it, unchecked it again.
Verified the game integrity, uninstalled the game, deleted the game folder, deleted all registry entries for it, restarted windows, reinstalled the game
And even with all of these loops jumped through, still the game does not want to connect consistantly. I can sometimes connect, after doing all of the loops and perhaps praying to Lord Bezos for the ability to play this game that I payed for it.
Same problem. Since 1.0.4 was installed I was not able to connect to any server. No change on PC or network, everything else through Steam works fine, just not NW.
I solved my problem. I had forgotten that I added some port forwarding in my router and I did it in the wrong place. There was a white/black listing option on the same config page and the way this was set up is that it suppressed any other communication to the server outside of the mentioned ports. That’s what prevented me from getting to the servers. I disabled these settings and voila,. back in the game.
This has fixed mine, and other peoples problems as well
Close the game and open Steam.
Right click on New World and go to Properties
go to Local Files and click Verify Integrity of game files…
Wait for completion and re open the game
only happened to me after 1.0.4 also
