Consider adding some AoE anti-healing abilities

OPR is primarily determined by how many healers each team has and, to a lesser extent, the number of melee per team. The life staff is very popular on my server and when you have 5+ sacred grounds scattered around the point nothing dies. It is incredibly boring and if your team has less healers you just lose, and you lose big time 1000 to <500.

Consider adding more strong AoE anti-healing abilities. It would solve a lot of the pvp problems with New World. You wouldn’t be nerfing anyone. You would just be making a counter.

plague applied to an aoe ? they removed plague strike from the mage weapons i dont think they are going to add aoe plague/rend, doesn’t vg already kinda do that ?

Not currently. The only AoE anti-healing abilities that I am aware of are infected throw (-30% healing) from the hatchet and plagued splitting grenade (-15% healing) from the blunderbuss. The anti-healing percent is too low to make a difference, and it is unlikely you’ll notice much of a difference. Nullifying oblivion use to cancel AoE healing, but AGS got rid of that in May.

  2. Divine Embrace perks haven’t worked properly since launch
  3. Sacred Ground overwrites Sacred Ground
  4. Sacred Ground is bugged, goes on cooldown and doesn’t cast when hit.
  5. Line of Sight is bugged and functions poorly
  6. Healer archetype was kicked out of armor diversity
  7. Lights Embrace was nerfed lost 15% of it’s per buff bonus heal
  8. Divine Embrace was not used because of its long cast time
  9. Lights Embrace was nerfed to have an added cast time
  10. Lights Embrace & Divine Embrace both are extremely easy to interrupt. LE no longer has any way to save allies from high burst dps
  11. Line Of Sight is clunky and bugged.

Please, Please, PLEASE stop listening to Dps who after 8 months still have not, and refuse to learn to fight healers. Healers have gotten no real compensation for the excessive nerfs over the course of 8 months. Please, the LS needs actual compensation instead of more hinderances. The servers that are unable to adapt to healers is their problem and their problem alone. Other servers have no problems against healers because they actually competitively understand team comp.

Please stop punishing healers for doing their job. There is already more than enough CC, Anti-Heal, and nerfs. Players who cannot have to learn to get better. Nerfing the archetype into the ground does nothing but discourage the support players from ever playing again.

You can make healers invincible. I don’t care at this point. But beating on each other for 30mins in opr with very few people dying is super boring.

Or how about instead of wanting constantly and trying endlessly to ruin the game for a single archetype because YOU and your SERVER can’t measure up you L2P?

DE was so shit with its 1.7s cast time that no one used it for 8 months and it took as long to find out how bugged it was for that reason. Now that LE is dead, it’s become apparent. LOS is indeed overly sensitive at times. It’s like it looks to match feet rather than eyes. Sucks they didn’t want healers in medium or heavy. Few instances you’d ever want to take the hit to your healing now. LE was gutted. Halved scaling makes it genuinely weak and with few chances to really make it shine above DE. DE was 1.7s and now it’s actually 1s so it’s tolerable. I think the cast time on LE is fine. It was like 0.5s before. But the scaling on buffs needs to be increased. Perhaps not to pre-nerf levels given the changes regarding how healing bonuses are calculated. But something. Maybe 20% for a start. They’re easy to interrupt and so I’ve adapted to fake casting to bait the CC out. As for burst, I’ve adapted by precasting my heals in anticipation of burst. I just keep a close eye on what abilities are being used and heal accordingly. It’s more proactive than simply reacting. I have to observe what sort of damage is coming in.

It’s odd cause I seem to die still. Other people seem to die quite frequently too. None of this ‘invincibility’ or ‘very few people dying’ non sense.

Yeah. There’s nothing in the description that mentions it has to be a light or heavy attack.

but they should work like putrefying scream, desease on a successful hit, no matter how much hp the target has…

Or, you know, we can stop playing due to sheer frustration. It’s not like OPR queues are overcrowded

Plagued Strike only affects the first instance of damage onto someone with a heavy attack. This is for balance reasons. Guaranteed anti heal on every AOE in the game would just bust things.

An AOE heal counter is too much, healers are already at a shitty spot right now. Not when it comes to healing power but lack of variety. Its soooo boring, if I was a healer since launch till now I would quit the game or switch builds 10x over. They dont have much to play with other than vg (and that has to be int split for them to utilize this) or rapier for escaping. That is why I created this thread below:
