Since the lastest patch have been lagging around. 3-4 steps ingame and then a lagspike. Cast an ability then a lagspike. When ever i try to loot a chist or gather anything it keeps on interrupting bacause of the lag. My friends can see my character lagging around.
My CPU is suddenly running 100% when playing - don’t know if this has something to do with it?
This is the same issue as another post that has gotten no response what-so-ever. Please! We know what the issue is, we just want confirmation that it is being addressed. The community has already found the issue.
This thread you shared is gathering information about this known issue, in order to find the source of the problem, any update will be post by our developers. Thank you for all your reports!
The lag cancels any action im doing. From looting chests to chopping trees. It even cancels abilities but puts them on cooldown. It exits the trading post and faction quest giver.
Im not seeing any drop in framerates or anything - its constant between 60 and 90. And im not seeing the “Lag detected” warning either.
I’m still having the issue. I was the one who originally posted the issue @Moshilol noted. Still waiting on responses from anyone about the issue. @Cappzz
I’ve finally been able to narrow this down to a graphics issue. RTX 3080 Water Cooled at 50C temps during play… So not overheating. On preset “Very High” this problems has been happening. Prior to “Into the Void” patch I was already playing at this setting. After the patch clearly something is happening and I can even stare at the ground and still have this happen.
Reducing settings to “High” completely fixed the issues. I can run around Everfall at peak times on a max pop server and not get kicked out of the trading post or crafting stations when previously Everfall was completely useless.
So clearly this is client based at least for the problem I have been having. I had gone as far as (I have 2 ISP’s at home) using comcast which is normally my backup no change and changing NIC’s on my PC. Just to ensure it’s not a network issue on my end.
Of note when this problem happens there’s a massive downward drop in CPU usage as if the client or system bus is getting clogged. Unfortunately, it’s windows so I cant check for things like IO wait like you can on Linux in the same way. Still I believe it’s a client side issue that needs to be looked into. The only other symptom is going from 50ms RTT to 400+ constantly in the towns unless they’re sparsely populated. While I do still see occasional latency spikes I’m not being booted.
Re-enabling “Very High” graphics settings with or without FPS limit still causes issues.
Can play in windowed mode–part of it may have been an NVIDIA issue. OTOH the old, OLD bug of not being able to see titles or achievements is back again. Fix it already please. And I STILL get some lag/rubberbanding at peak times.
