fortunate thing is that this downtime is planned for only 90 minutes i guess, lol
but the more bothersome issue is the fact that loads of people managed to take advantage of all those named mobs dropping enough gear for them to get Greatsword expertise up to 600
and whatever other targeted named items they were looking to farm
spawn rate/drop rate/tables were insane
so majority of us who were actually just playing the game/storyline etc kinda get “screwed”
I think the patch is super important. And these things happen. So I don’t mind them fixing these things. My issue is around spreading the timing of the patches around just a bit.
However, on your second point. Those people madly rushing to get named drops to get their GS expertise up are missing out on actually enjoying the game and will be the first to leave the game anyway when they get ‘bored’ so I wouldn’t worry:)
If they did maint during NA primetime, the servers that run these forums would burst into flames from the stampede of enraged Karens posting complaints.
I know. But like I’m in Karen mode right now. Even if they did it at 3pm EST time that would still be outside of our time. There’s 24 hours they don’t have to do it the same exact time.
I completely agree with you, and I reside in US East. It’s a shame they can’t do rolling updates during each time zone’s low point. Barring that, it would be only fair to spread update times around a bit so everyone shares the pain.
The wisdom of delaying FSS to Nov 2 is paying off.
As for the ninafix prosperers…to each their own, I guess. I’ve barely touched BS yet (finally got my sunscreen today lol). I’d rather wait for them to smooth things out to deliver the intended experience. I’m not into shortcuts. This is all we’re getting for a while.
It sucks. But as a person who played before all the merges, when the game was more dead than it was leading up to this update, whatever it takes to fix stuff is worth it. With that said, if they take too long to fix stuff, we might be back in those dark times again.
That means different release for different timezones which they always become another problems on gaming community on other games like “why do they start playing before us” and such.
I don’t have problem any of them. They can do both, my problem is just these “planned patches” are not “planned” ones and enoughly communicated.
I mean, I am planning my day one night before and going online at 7:00 AM to learn at 8:00 AM there will be a “planned” patch on 9:00 AM ? They can at least announce that patch 12h before if it is a planned one i guess. Can’t be so hard.
Yeah it will be so fun running around the map just looting chest for a 1/1000 chance at getting a named item, maybe it’s one you actually wanted who the fk knows since EVERY one is in the same pool.
I WAS having fun, farming this boss for a bit, go loot some chests, go gather some stuff, go farm another boss, etc etc. It was very enjoyable. They just nuked a large part of that.
Man I feel that! I finally got to my RDO night (work in the mines) and the servers are down… I just wanna play… on another note, MW2 campaign is loaded. So fuck NW tonight.
We arnt complaining that they are fixing stuff. Thats great. We are complaining for the last 3 days in Australia the servers are offline from 5pm-9pm, 5pm to 8pm and today, 5pm to maybe 7pm. When most of the Australian server is online. Then it comes back up and you queue for another 30 to 60mins
Either rolling patch times or share the timezones around is what the OP is saying
