Corruption breach caches after patch 1.2

Hey has there been any knowledge about opening caches after patch 1.2? So if for example people hoarded corruption breach caches prior to the new update will they be able to get amythest gypsums after the patch?

They changed Gypsums to be awarded on event completion for that reason AFAIK.
