Right now we have a number of things that are disabled or broken arising from the Into the Void patch and before. To list a few:
-
It’s 15 days since we had trophy trading disabled;
-
It’s 11 days since harvesting animals was disabled due to the drop rate of materials;
-
It’s 10 days since the undocumented changes from the patch were acknowledged and we were told fixes would be worked on.
Obviously there has been a patch to restore missing items and implement some fixes arising from Into the Void but all of the above remain in the game with zero communication about timeframes.
I fully understand that issues in play are complex and need time to investigate, design & implement a change and test but there has to be a way for you to provide some communication on these subjects beyond saying there is “no update”.
Given the nature of software development and sprints to implement work there is at least some high level information that could be used to help communicate. I understand you do not wish to be tied to a specific date but any timeframe provided would be better than the existing void of information on these (and other) topics.
Is the plan for one big update to fix multiple things that will take time? Or is the plan to implement small fixes to address specific issues in priority? What is the priority for what is broken or disabled? Will fixes that will be deployed go straight to production or is there plans for them to have xx days on PTR for testing first? Will anything be fixed before your studio heads off for the festive break?
I really want the game to succeed and I want things to improve. Saying that, I am finding it harder to play each day with the problems that are presently outstanding and would appreciate any information beyond “no update yet” please.
Could you please provide a constructive statement on the key issues that would help manage community expectations and timeframes?
