Hey I just noticed but how in the hell is this guy able to get such shitty textures? I want this look… probably get 10x the framerate.

Actually the smart thing to do would be to give up on crafting until they figure out that it’s not fun to make the odds worse than Vegas to get something good. But dropping good stuff like Laz Bow, Firevine, Will of the Ancients, etc from dungeons? AGS is like “NO PROBLEM HERE. THIS IS TOTALLY FAIR GAMEPLAY.” Literally spending like 5-6k a roll just to consistently get trash. Game is dead now because they don’t know how to filter through the noise on the forum where people have terrible ideas. Crafting should be the backbone of the economy in any good MMO in my opinion.

Yeah, its pretty funny they create a game that has an entirely player driven economy then introduce items that are bind on pickup, invalidate crafting, and make crafting near impossible to make decent items.

A good system would be allowing crafting to make whatever they want but have the gear degrade and only be able to repair it so many times before its busted for good.

There is absolutely NO EXCUSE for not being able to easily articulate how this works. Regardless of what the answer is, not being able to explain it, even generally, only seems dishonest. If the CS rep really can’t answer it, then it’s only because the DEVs won’t tell them.

And it’s too basic a mechanic to be somehow unknown.

Or maybe it works in some nonsense, convoluted way like a lot of their other features like luck or weapon swap so no one can explain how it works except a couple of devs on the team lol.

Just make it a 16% chance!! What more do you need to explain? It should be a 16.666% chance. How have they just not simply answered that yet.

Actually it needs to be higher than 16% with the crap perks you’re giving me when I finally get 600 GS.

They probably haven’t answered because the devs themselves don’t know how it works (they only know how it should work). Code takes the to figure out, even if you wrote it yourself and code with no coymments or poor comments or wrong comments takes even longer. Could be a whole bunch of other reasons too like the developer who wrote the code for probability left the company and now someone else has to fix the mess they made.

Maybe a question to ask in the meantime is: if the answer comes back as 3% what would you do? Do you stop crafting? What if it’s 7%? Where’s the threshold? What probability would make you happy?

Crafting currently sucks since alpha test we warned them and they left how it is.
Right now this March update is a step to a good direction.

So if ags is actually right now making things more enjoyable we can expect crafting be more meaningfull which is??? no more RNG i mean grind upon grind and rng upon rng to get mats. Then more grind and rng in refining and then MORE grind and rng on crafting it is just too much, so do like me just accumulate resources and when you less expect ags will fix crafting in every aspect and you will be just ready to make the perfect gear you always dreamed off.

OR soo i expect they do it, I mean they already tried to prove they are not dumb (even if facts says otherwise).
So i am pretty hopefull about crafting being good, soo many ppl saying that have 625 gear but when i see theirs perks I kinda laugh hard i mean they worked really hard for it but those perrrrrrrrkssss tho…

Oh they know how it works. They just aren’t going to answer something that they know will piss off the playerbase with the answer.

well its ether that or from how we are seeing everything break every patch, a separate team probably wrote this section and then got dumped, leaving other devs to wonder how the hell things works.

im leaning towards that considering from context clues there are a bunch of teams doing different parts of different things and those parts break every single patch. it also explains why some parts of patch notes are missing things as some of the team cant seem to get basic notes out while others can.

Yes, I am sure that their builds all have cross contamination. I am pretty sure this is why bugs can and do happen. Its normal to have a bunch of different builds of the same game from different departments all working on different things. What isn’t normal is the constant mismanagement of those builds.

I had that suspicion long ago but I felt my opinion on that was pretty justified when they released a patch with some content that is still in PTR for the upcoming patch AND its not even the same version of the PTRs content.

Im also pretty sure they do intentionally leave some stuff out of patch notes regardless of how much the lady in the dev video tried to laugh it off like we were all stupid.

Would seriously like to hear from AGS on this… Even tough titties, we thought crafting legendary was too easy so we nerfed it. Would be better than what we get, ninja nerfs, maybe they won’t notice…

So ye… today i crafted 20 Ice Gaunts.
595-600 ofc.

here is the result.

19x Epic
1x Legendary.

Material cost ~
32k for Runic Leather
17k for Phoenixweave
27,2k for Asmodeum
16k for Crafting Mod, refreshing Move
10k for Int Mod
4.2k for Water Quintessence.

So in total 106400 Coins, for 1 Legendary, which has only 1 good Perk ( in my Opinion )

Try to craft 1 by 1. I Had never so less Legys.

Doesn’t matter how you do it, going to be even less now with last patch… they should just reimburse gold and remove crafting at this point.

And I’ve crafted 3 legendaries in a row on multiple occasions. The chance of getting a legendary in 20 tries at 1/6 rate is 97%, so unlucky but not too crazy. Meanwhile 3 legendaries at a 1/6 rate has only a .46% chance of happening, and if you go by the dude way up above saying legendaries are only a 6% chance to craft then doing 3 in a row has only a 0.02% chance of happening. And I’ve had many crafting sessions of making 10ish pieces and getting up to 3 legendaries, which falls right in line with a 1 out of 6 rate.

Not to mention…gold at endgame is pretty much only for that gear. They got rid of prop taxes being meaningful in any way, that gold you have exists only to buy some gear. So if you don’t like the RNG, just save it up and buy what someone has already made and pay that premium.
