Crafting and Upgrading Changes

One of the biggest complaints in the community right now is the RNG in crafting. As somebody that has a set or variations of “bis” pve/pvp gear I know the frustration in obtaining said sets. Even with my sets done I would not mind seeing the third perk on rolls being controllable at a higher leggo proc rate than current. Although I see how that may not be completely feasible, I thought of another way the devs could possibly help mediate some of the player loss from gear crafting.

Solution: Instead of controlling the third perk allow players to control the third perk type. What I mean by this is if you are rolling refreshing move (proc type), thwarting strikes (Damage Con) then allow the players to roll specifically into a bucket such as Damage Category that contains stuff like Corrupted Bane, Angry Earth Bane. Nothing is more frustrating when you are trying to roll something like a skill perk and you hit a garbo ability like an On Kill skill such as mortal siphoning.

A change like this will also inherently lower the auction house costs, but I would still like to see open world drops and aptitude crate drops buffed. I’ve heard stories of gear going for over a mil which shows your functionality inherently has an issue if you have items selling over gold cap.

Additional Solution 1: Yes I mentioned upgrading too, well the PTR notes had dropped this but apparently it was not true. Allow 590 items to be “chance” upgraded to leggo at 600 gear score. This is quite obvious why it would be favorable and from judging the player feedback to it not actually being implemented I would think it’s a good idea for the devs to implement it.

Additional Solution 2: Allow players to re-roll attribute perks on gear. You already allow this with faction vendor items, why not allow it with other items.

TLDR: Make third perk type controllable (Damage Con, Weapon Perk, Elemental, etc), make 590 gear upgradeable to leggo proc chance, allow re-rolling of attribute points, buff open world drops as well as aptitude drop rates.

Not only will these proposed changes help fix the inflated market prices, it will make a wider variation of gears available to more players (increasing the need of gear set slots $$$) and also allows people to test/play more builds. This would make the community more open to hard changes like the ones posted up on the PTR right now.
