Crafting Hearty Meals produces Light meals

Today when I went to craft Hearty Meals, the option was ‘red’ rather than ‘white’ saying I didn’t have the materials, which I did. I hit craft anyway, it started crafting and it used all of the materials (300 T5 raw foods, 300 each of 3 different other Raw Foods and 300 seasonings) though I only received 300 Light Meals (T3 food). I received the XP for crafting the 300 Hearty Meals though.

What gives?

I am sorry to know that you had issues with crafting the hearty meals.

It appears that we need to escalate this issue. Please contact us through live mediums so that we can escalate this by creating a ticket to the Dev team for a resolution.

Be sure to have your game logs ready in case they ask for them.

  • Provide 3 recent logs from: Users\AppData\Local\AGS\New World\LogBackups
  • DxDiag report: Go to Windows Start search bar and type dxdiag. Click on dxdiag.exe. When green progress bar goes away, select Save All Information and save the file to their desktop.

Same thing happened to me, though the Hearty Meal option was white.

We are sorry that you are having this issueeith the hearty meal. Crafting is integral to out game and we don’t want anything to mess your playtime.

we can try to verify integrity of the game files to see if that helps with this issue:

  • Restart your computer and launch steam
  • Right click the game in your Library, or click the gear icon from the game’s Library page on the far right.
  • Select properties
  • Local files
  • Steam will verify the game’s files.

@PeaceMakerr, verifying files is not effective. I did so following yesterday’s patch and today (11 Feb) I commanded 17 Hearty Meals and wound up with 17 Light Meals. This is very annoying.

The simple solution is for AGS to decide if Juniper berries are a T3 or a T5 food and make sure that both places where it states that for the berries is correct. Personally I think T5, since the game recognizes them as T5 for crafting, but then errors when you actually craft with them. Come on AGS, make them T5.

The team is already aware that Juniper berries used as Tier 5 Primary food is causing this issue and they are working to fix it as soon as possible.

Juniper berries are the culprit, i tried in t5 food and lowered to t3 also.

Weeks later, and this is still an issue. Trying to craft Hearty Meals and get Light Meals instead when using the Juniper Berries.
