First, the difficulty to get a 600 BiS item is extremely difficult compared to getting a perfect perks item in Lazarus or Genesis.
What is crafting right now:
Spend Hundred of Thousands coins to get your Trophies and crafter set to the maximum.
Farm every day so you can get your high tier materials daily.
Wait many days to accumulate enough asmodeum / runic leather / phoenixweave to make your crafts or spend hundred of thousands coins to buy materials and shards to reduce the RNG.
Play slot machines with the RNG and pray to god to get a legendary, pray ten times harder if you want a BiS Item, most of time you wonât get nothing and all your effort is WASTED.
Try to sell your useless crafted items in order to recover a little money or in some cases nothing.
Repeat.
And now we have players getting gearscore 625 spamming Lazarus or Genesis and now they can do it even more easier after incoming patch.
Crafters donât have control of the RNG in order to get a BiS item VS expeditions BiS items which are perfects.
Crafters donât have a way to craft or raise items to 625 GS.
The game force you to do expeditions repetitively, thing which is extremely boring and dull.
Crafters donât even have the âCrafted by xxxxxxxxâ if you have the luck to craft a BiS in order to get recognition or make yourself a name as a crafter.
Crafters canât compete.
Crafters donât get expertise bump even if they craft items over their expertise level, every item you craft over your expertise level must get you an expertise bump, not just legendaries.
Aptitude boxes must reward umbral shards, so all players are compensated EQUALLY spending their time in the game.
Maybe Iâm forgetting some things, but Iâm pretty sure that the community of crafters will add more points to this topic.
Iâm a 595-600 roller and agree itâs not being treated the same. Thereâs amazing perks and different combos we canât put together. Also with items over priced approach it can be a pain for seller and buyer to find a happy medium.
Personally Iâd like to see us be able to choose at least two perks so we know at least two of the three are for sure in spot. Iâd spent 100 Azoth if it guaranteed a legendary roll.
We for sure need a new approach to making crafting equal to dungeon crawling. The idea of play it your way is important to this.
With rising Orachalcum costs and the difficulty of farming against bots is becoming a problem. We now have to play against camping farmers. Iâd honestly think that actually making you need to pvp slav for farming would put a pain in this for players doing it. I know a mass of players wouldnât like to deal with it, but we need to make it harder to bot and be safe doing it.
I agree. Have not crafted anything but voidbent in a long time.
Yesterday somehow I felt the need to craft a spear. Did 7 of them, only epics again which no one wants.
Again many ten-thousand coin spent and all I got is 7 ironwood planksâŚ
There is a desperate need to be able to reduce RNG in crafting. Spending ~100k in items (as I did today) to roll gear and end up with a grand total of zero items with no dead pvp perks is as close to a scam as you can get.
If I have to farm/buy 10 iron battle medals, 10 Reinforced Orichalcum Great Axe Charms, 10 Shard of Consecrated Iron, and 10 Chunk of Consecrated Iron (along with the mats themselves) in order to make a guaranteed 600 STR/Insatiable grav/freedom/resil item, I think thatâs costly enough for that item to have an acceptable cost/output balance.
Not only is the RNG bad for crafting, but also the vast amount of good farmable items - especially weapons - hurts crafting.
Why should you try to gamble crafting a weapon when you can just farm an okay or even bis (hammer) piece in 2 or 3 hours. Like there is so much named stuff with keen and vicious in the game, often with a useful third perk. As a crafter its ridiculously expensive to get something better than that.
Right now only armoring and jewelcrafting (if you arent playing any strength build) is needed, weaponsmithing, arcana and engineering just arenât worth the effort at all.
Yes it would be better than what we have now.
Still I strongly believe a BIS Item should not be harder / more expensive to make than a piece of voidbent. Or at max 3-times that much.
After all voidbent is BIS tooâŚfor farming.
I cant believe it was intended that 1 piece of BIS is worth coin-cap of 500K coins.
