So the crafting seems, wrong. For instance: You have to be able to get Jewelcrafting to level 50 before you can craft anything above 300 item level. By the time you get there, you are already level 40-50 in game, and have gotten way higher items then you would have crafting rings, necks, etc.
The requirement has to be lowered for almost everything, or you have to get more points leveling up items in general. Cooking seems like it is the only thing that is fine where it is, but the crafting of gear/weapons/necks/rings are way, way off.
It makes crafting seem like it doesn’t match up with leveling, so it feels unsatisfying when you are wasting materials to not want to use them while leveling your character.
I’m not really sure what the issue is here, I’ve found if you’re spending time focusing on crafts it’s well balanced. I’ve just hit level 38 and all of my gathering are over 100 and I have one craft above 100 and another above 80. You just have to put the time in to level them.
Rings you can’t craft until JC is 50. You unlock ring slots at 20. To get rings crafted, you need to farm up silver. Silver is a rare spawn of iron. Silver mostly spawns it the 25+ areas.
Not really, silver is it’s own spawn and has nothing to do with iron. There are dozens of silver spawns in all 4 of the starting areas, some of them are literally 100 meters from the settlement such as in Windsward.
You can’t wear rings until level 20 so there’s no reason to have them before JC 50 which is the tier that starts at around level 20 as a minimum level to wear said gear.
You just have to put more than 5 minutes into crafting and it works.
