I think there should be a shift in the metals used for jewelry. Currently as it stands right now, platinum ends up being kind of a dead end, and also still quite expensive to build up these ingots. It’s a little weird that we need to farm up in the heavy metals in order to make top tier jewelry. What if orichalcum settings/components, and asmodium settings/components were split up, and gold was half of the requirement for orichalcum versions, with platinum half of the requirement for the asmodium versions? I think this would be an excellent change to make gold and platinum still worthwhile to farm for, as currently they are quite useless (and even a bother at times, just getting dumped on the road and keeping the jewels), and also bring down the cost slightly for the creation of these pieces of jewelry (also making them more viable for sale on the market, which can go far north of 5k in cost per piece).
I agree with this 100%. How it is currently, gold and platinum have zero use. A change like this, incorporating gold and platinum into orichalcum and asmodium components would be great! I think it might even be better than them introducing a tier 5 rare metal, which would also be cool, rather than using the heavy metals at all.
