Simple fix for these screens that are otherwise devoid of useful information:
When I hover over an item in these menus, show me the materials required to make it. Not the useless information that normally shows up.
Also if anyone has other good suggestions, feel free to list them and if they’re well liked I’ll add them to this post!
EDIT: A faster way to pump out equipment would be nice. Sitting through 450 crafted gloves is a bit tedious. A salvage all button would also be welcome.
Love all these ideas. For the default materials, I agree. It shouldn’t default to the rarest, but the other way around. Default to the lowest tier materials I can use, and have the crafter select to upgrade. Definitely a big benefit for all the items that we craft just to level, then immediately salvage. (A salvage all option after a crafting batch would be nice too). If we’re just talking QoL, I would say do it exactly as you’ve suggested.
But, if we want to take it one step further, the only two suggestions I have involve filling that dead space. First, being able to apply more than one special crafting mod as you get higher level would be nice. Say, one at level 1, the second at level 100, and a third at say level 175. It could even be a case of saying “Adding the crafting mod gives a 95% chance of that attribute/perk applying” so you still aren’t guaranteed to craft the perfect piece, but the chances are much higher for higher tier crafters. And in the dead space below, a list of 2-4 skins for each item would be a nice little bonus. It wouldn’t impact gameplay any more than the skins currently on offer, but it does add some extra fun for the crafter.
