Just gonna be concise with it. The water mark grind is mindless, it has no direction. The game is already grind heavy (dont mind the grind) but something about farming water mark makes me appreciate how great destiny rolls out gear. Crafting is a bust, the amount of mats (time x gold) in to T5 mats to have a chance at a 600 GS item with only 1 selected perk. For how much you spend in mats you should have way more control than we do. About 500 hours in now and still gonna play because I enjoy the game for the most part and think the future is Bright.
This Crafting + grind is disheartening. I get that the watermarking is random, which sure it is dropped loot. So if I dont know a crafter it is going to take more time to get my armor score up and hope for stats/perks. Which as you said, makes the god rolled loot that drops that much better (good luck with a full set of 5 that are all god rolled for same build).
Crafting should not be that way, it makes it next to impossible to get all the gear to be focused the way you want it to be. You’re a healer and want Focus…here is a mod for Hatchet. Select Revitalizing Beacon…strength and int. This is less annoying T1/T2, “eh I am going to replace this in a few levels” but now at 60 with the time commitment that requires to gather it all up to have enough to only craft a handful and they all have trash that you cannot warrant wearing. I should be able to pick all the mods I can slot and if I do not have a specific mod, then I can use Azoth on the rest to randomize. Make the mods more rare or different tier of mods, or hell, costs azoth per selected slot. The Gear Score should be the random part where I can make my stuff better, T5 500-600 with base and with higher rarity crafting mats then decrease that range. It could be to 580, make the watermark the god rolled gear that is better than crafted, but I should be able to make gear the way that I need for how I am going to play.
