Crafting...as a crafter player

Hello!

I see myself more as an crafter/pvp:er and I like new world crafting or atleast most of it how it is today.

That said, refining materials to be able to refind your materials to higher tier ones, for me its alot of grinding chest or buy expensive higher tier refining material in TP for tons of gold just to have higher chance of getting the higher % chance of getting extra materials or buy the material converter from the faction vendor, but it only works on that converter tier level materials.

At higher crafting level you notice you gathering 1000x materials for example and refining it to get like 250refining tier ones.
Its alot of time and effort to get the higher tier materials to craft one single high level 60 gear.

I have two suggestions on the refining material:

  1. Enable the material converter to have an %chance to get higher tier materials.
The higher tier of converter the higher chance.

  2. Enable the crafter to be able to craft refining materials in the crafting stations.

I wanna know how other crafters feels about the refining material in general.

Thank you for reading!

I gave up due to cost and RNG of perks.

Yeah sadly thats what im thinking right now, give it up or try hard to level it to 200.

I got to 200, and realised it wasn’t worth it. Unless you have heaps of gold, it’s not worth it imo.

They should remove the perk type RNG and add a perk tier RNG.
At least you would know what you are making.
Basically the player or they could add a weekly counter allowing to create a specific item of each type.

This.

As i said before in other post: at this point, crafting (exclude furnishing) is a freaking bad joke… nothing less a expensive gambling game.

It needs a complete rework.

I gave up as long as Insignias are as expecting or more than top tier material as Asmodeum. Please devs increase their droprate significantly

Yes this is really stupid the fact you get to 200 level and you can’t even craft because only people owning territory making million can buy from the market and craft doesn’t make sense, small companies struggling to craft gear because everything is expensive and rng in this game is a joke

Crafting is garbage. I wont do it anymore until changes are made. On a side note, I cleaned out my sheds of insignias that I have pack ratted since launch. They go for 200 on my server. I made 50k yesterday just doing house cleaning. Easiest money I ever made.

Why so much? Because it stupidly takes 10 per roll and people don’t really farm them anymore. People feel the need to roll at least 20 of the same item at a time just to have a chance at one good piece.

I rolled 20 last week and got all garbage. It makes no sense that I am trying to roll dex light and I get strength and int weapon perks. I literally rolled away 200k worth of stuff I had saved for months plus spent another 30k and got zero usable pieces. Absolutely insane broken garbage. Never again.

Yeah this is the thing that makes me also just going for only leveling up my gathering skills and sell everything I can, use refine materials to upgrade tiers if it good money in TP.

Companys making that much money needs rework.

I’m a gatherer and crafter and the RNG desperately needs re-vamped. Let’s say you want to make boots, easy enough. I’d suggest allowing players to set the main stat/benefit (like crafting tools, allow a main benefit, harvest, skinning etc etc) so it’s guaranteed to have at least that but the rest other than what we use to set in place to craft be random. To me that’s still fair but still makes for crafters to want to craft. Biggest issue more than anything else in NW crafting is the RNG system and the countless low level materials you must farm to make higher tier’d stuff. I say drop the low level materials needed by at least 25% to maybe even 50%. That’s my thoughts

@eliaspassport Thank you for sharing your experience as a crafter in regards to refining materials. I have taken note of your suggestions and will convey your input to the team.

Full control crafting.
Put a cool down on it like refining so people can sell it.

Converters are basically free. You get too many faction tokens too easily. I have to buy converters just so I don’t go over cap but don’t want to waste gold buying anything else.
