Bump, I thought it was helpful with quickcasts on weapon-swap but if weapon swapping doesn’t bug me to begin with I’m casting w,e ability is on the key I last used on my backbar every time I swap weapons from the buffer range.
BUMP PLS FIX IT the changes were made to made the game smoother but it just feels clunky since you need to wait to swap weapons or you just cast unwanted spells!
side note: Orb of Decay is even worse since u always press the input twice
make the weapon swap to RESET ENTIRELY THE Q at the moment (frame) you get in hand your second weapon.
by doing that you will be able to spam your keys THEN change weapon THEN and INSTANTLY being able to cast something AFTER AND ONLY AFTER switching weapons.
WE DONT WANT TO BE ABLE TO QUEUE ABILITY BEFORE, AND I SAY BEFORE SWITCHING WEAPON !

I totaly agree with LeBonDora. Q-ing spells before switching weapon isn’t intuitve at all. Even when trying to use this mecanic out of combat, it isn’t esay to use at all, it looks very random.
And in a fight situation, most of players won’t think about his new spell Q system, creating frustration when wasting CD when it is not intended.

→ Need a calm situation to be use voluntarily

Reset queue when changing weapon should be a must, yes you are right. But this system shouldn’t work queing inputs:
The client shoudn’t send to the server that i queued “the key that do the 3th ability”. The client should send to the server that i want to do “this ability”. Then the server check if you are still wearing this weapon. If you are wearing the weapon, you can do the skill, if not, u can’t.
BUT!!! I prefer to remove the queue COMPLETY. NO QUEUES / NO BUFFER! Im having problems too with potions, without changing weapon:
Example:
Im fighting and i press the button to drink a potion. The potion doesn’t drink because im stunned, or attacking… OK. I Finish fighting, i kill my enemy… im walking with full HP because i was healed… and then: BUMP!! i drink a potion.
The same to the abilitys in the same weapon. I press to do “x” ability, i can’t do that because im stunned. And 5 seconds later, im not stunned and BUMP, cast the ability and waste my CD.
We can all agree that this que mechanic is the worse fking idea ever, like previously mentioned, we as mmo gamers we spam our keys until said action happens, we are been punished for playing the game too fast. And one more thing is not been brought up, it also messes up with light atacks and abilty that requieres left click to function, for example : when using blizzard or pillar of fire since is a targetd abilty that requieres left click to be used, if we use more than 1 click a light attack will follow the cast almost immeditealy fucking ur rotation up and possibly putting in danger
no one asked for combat queing, we’ve been crying for faster gameplay, not being punished for hitting our buttons. All it did was break combat. It added no value.
If you press “ability key” only 1 time, and then change weapon, it cast the ability in the new weapon.
It only happen in “slow” abilities, like sticky bomb and others. Horrible.
es una pena, ayer volvieron al new world 2 colegas a probar el parche nuevo, llevaban 2 semanas sin salir de lost ark, creo que no les volveré a ver hasta dentro de un mes

bump, I have been playing 1800+ hours and never been like such annoying about the combat system. Gonna quit for a while until they fix this. The current combat system is totally ruining the game experience of players who run weapon combo.
