Cross Server interaction, Group Finder Optimization, Ranked A MUST HAVE CONVO!

So I’m just talking from my overall experience with the game, this is not intended to be a rant; just my well informed opinion of the frustrations of dealing with the important interactions of the game. So let’s cut to the chase. Sorry for any typo’s!

                                     THESIS

If your server is not popping, you’re dealing with pretty long wait times for Expeditions, OPR, and 3v3’s. I Myself (and I’m pretty sure many of you) have waiting at least an hour for a mutation, just for the creator of the group to close out the group and TADAHH! you just wasted an hour of your life literally sitting around for a mutation that never happened. yea you could maybe have done some quest in the mean time between time while you wait but let’s be real, who’s out here doing quest unless it’s some easy super worth it one like the ones ins brimstone right? Also the same pretty much goes for 3v3’s and OPR’s where you’ll be sitting around(especially in the morning) for a WHILE before anything actually happens if it does happen!!!

Here’s a concise list of the frustrations with each interaction and Possible Resolutions:

  1. Long Wait Times- While waiting, people will leave thus making the wait process longer.

Resolution: If Cross Server could come into play (in a well optimized fashion of course) not only would this help with this issue, but possibly help give more foundation to keeping players in the game.

***The main thing that makes people want to stop playing a game, is when they feel frustrated and feel like they can't make any progress.*** :smiling_face_with_tear:

  1. Gear Score Manipulation - This is when a player will put on gear to boost their gear score so they can get into desired mutation, players are aware of this. that’s why the new thing lately in the game is asking for people to DM armor and Weapon sets.

Resolution: now it’s great that we can see people’s gear score and choice of weapons and their proficiency in those weapons. but we need a way to see actual armor sets as well, so a good solution to that problem would be making it so we can visibily see their armor/weapon set as well before we decide if we want to recruit that person into that mutation or not.

it's annoying to keep asking people for their sets or NOT asking for their sets, just to get played and that person dying 1000 times and ruining the mutation. Or even worse case scenario, the whole team can't even do the mutation because the team failed to be well optimized and lost through Group Finder optimization via Gear Score Manipulation. :smiling_face_with_tear:

3.Recruitment Chat: - Now this Recruitment Tab isn’t bad and maybe I am being petty but, I feel like their is a more optimized way of doing this.

Resolution: Instead of seeing people just scream stuff like "NEED ALL FOR M10 GENESIS CHECK GF" let’s get rid of the necessity to tell people to “CHECK GF” and actually allow us to Link the expedition we are recruiting for in the message! that way, people can just click on the link and go exactly to the mutation that is being mentioned

That way, joining an expedition can be easier and more efficient.

                                  OPR's:

1. Long Wait times: Once Again, a persistent issue that’s pretty much shown all over New World, when playing an OPR, what you’ll notice when you are around those times where you have to wait, is that people will start dropping from the OPR, just like the expeditions!

Resolution: Same as mentioned before with the Expeditions, if we can get some well optimized cross server compatibility, just that would fix a ton of issues with the long wait times. Also A link to chat for OPR would be nice as well because why not right?

2.BUGS!: Now I’ve definitely seen some buggy glitchy like action in this game play i.e: some environmental issues where the textures will go away for a couple seconds and you will just see the base models of the environment, and then come back. Another bug, when you die. idk why but the game starts to become glitchy and slow especially when your in the clumps with other players. etc.

Resolution: tbh…Idk LMAO and some fellow gamers feel free to chime in on this.

3. Incentive: Now it’s not bad that you get 2 gypsum from 2 Opr’s but at this moment in time…

A) because the long wait time, the value of incentive of OPR drops! why would I wait for an OPR when i should wait for a mutation? and see thinking like that kind of puts you in this funky situation where you’re dealing with gaming efficiently(not fun) as opposed to gaming for fun and being to reap the benefits equally. so there needs to be more balance in that regard.

B) PVPers unfortunately just don’t reap the benefits of doing solely PVP things and rightfully so, they should be exploring PVE content as well, but maybe if the gypsum from OPR specifically where some how more rewarding so instead of 400 umbral shards you’d get like 700-800, that could also increase the value of an OPR, thus keeping people more engaged, thus making people want to que up more for OPRs. it won’t out value like a mutation 5, but it’d be nice if the value of 2 OPRS was at least equivalent to doing a mutation 5, heck, I know PVPers would argue even a Mutation 10!. I think that’s highly fair.

C) Also, how about a Ranking system? I know Ranking system has been in the talks but a ranking system for OPR’s like actual placement of where you stand in OPR’s would be pretty dope!

and that wraps up my thoughts mainly on OPR!

                                    3v3's

1: Long wait times You guessed it, once again! you can’t tell me you don’t find yourself waiting at least 15 minutes around 8-9am in the morning for just a 3v3 which is pretty insane!

now with 3v3’s i actually feel like they are close to being right on the money with this, but a ranking system would be nice and also, separate the people who are are actual 3v3’s from the random 3v3’s too while you do this. you already know, there will be people upset that they are queuing with Randoms against actual teams and not being placed as they should because of it. so have a separate ranking system for actual 3v3 teams and random 3v3 players.

and that pretty much wraps up my thoughts on 3v3's

                       Can we get cross server 1v1's?

The fanbase has been wanting this forever, including myself. if you guys add this in with some awesome incentives, you will have your perfect blend of PVE and PVP. the dream ultimately for NWO players is to be able to have great incentives for both PVE and PVP that interblend well with one another flawlessly and without problem.

                              Closing Statement

I Feel NWO is a great game and has a lot of potential. I am super grateful of the progress that has come in just a year. I myself have been playing games since I was a child and truly appreciate a great game. wishing the best for NWO and hope the community remains well as well as the improvement of the game and that we as a community don’t grow sour and that this game doesn’t grow sour and last a long time!
