Is it really that high? I thought everything capped at like 50% but I never looked into it.
The absorption cap (gems, oakflesh, fortify) is at 50%, but that doesnāt include base armor mitigation.
I sometimes go from hitting the same healer for like 3k down to 1k.
This is how it has always felt for every other armor class. Light armor isnāt even getting the full experience medium and especially heavy has had. That said, when weāre comparing 1.75s to 1.5s were really splitting hairs lol. But with the distance of the light dodge roll, even reduced as it is now after being it, itās still notably better than what heavy/medium dealt with since launch. I know itās not all the same but the perspective is valuable I think.
Thatās still way better than heavy medium. And I know youāre not being exact but itās more than 2 feet lol.
But dude I totally agree. The bursty nature of PvP is getting out of hand in my opinion. Armor and health isnāt changing but damage certainly is! When one mistake decides the fight it doesnāt allow for much back and forth in a fight. To me, that back and forth can be the best part.
I think this would create an inconsistency with fortify. But if fortify itself, across the board, were based on armor weight. Then this would make more sense in my opinion. I donāt know if this would be a good idea or not⦠But I donāt think itās a good idea to make fortify work differently in different cases.
I donāt either. Only spitballing
I donāt really see or feel a problem with shirking fort personally, Iāve played all weight classes and if I get outplayed I deserve the death.
This time reduction on PTR will however make fortified amulets more valuable
Are you honestly arguing that heavy melee canāt kill light players who have stammed out? Light gets blown up near instantly if they stam out with a melee on them. There is no issue with light survivability when they are getting hit, I have never heard someone argue that before. What most people argue is that they are too hard to hit, not that when you hit them they are too tanky. An argument can be made that dex with rapier and light was a bit OP for kiting, but to say light is too tanky is just a reach.
Go re-read my post again before changing what I said to something I didnāt say and then making an argument against that. I am not going to argue against some dumb made up argument you prescribed to me.
Iām new to the game and Iāve never had PvP combat, however I can say that in all the time Iāve played with a rapier and light armour build Iāve pretty much never ever had to block, only dodge. Maybe that says something about the state of blocking.
Iām saying light shouldnāt be getting a free fortify just from dodging. Iām also saying light should be able to get away from a heavy even once stammed out via haste. The current meta is either stamming light out and dumping multiple ccs and rend just to blow someone up.
Light armor does do massive damage hence why light armor great sword is so popular and not heavy great sword as an example.
