Could we possibly have a ‘Custom Game’ tab under ‘game modes’?
When a player clicks on it, they will be redirected to a ‘lobby’ where they can build a ‘custom’ game. They can choose OPR, arena, or mock war. There is an option to ‘lock the lobby with a password’ ensuring no one can join unless the creator shares the code with them, and if they choose to make it public, it will be listed under ‘custom games’ as an ‘open lobby’ where anyone can join.
Why?
WARS:
So many times, my company wants to war (and other companies too). But we have to wait literal DAYS to do so, and many companies don’t even get the chance. Some companies simply need more war practice too, but they can’t or don’t have enough players. Allowing us to set up mock wars:
- lets us practice new war strats
- have a ‘redemption’ war against a company that just beat us
- can war against our own company
- can war against companies within our own faction
- can try new war builds and switch up team comps
- can set up war drills etc
- can do a casual ‘for fun war’
- set up scrims with enemy company
OPR:
Sometimes this gamemode can get REALLY unbalanced. One side has no healers, one side is all bow players, etc. Every two seconds you have people trying to backcap, and more. Letting us set up custom OPR lobbies:
- allows us to set up scrims
- have fun brawls in a non competitive setting
- can have more balanced teams
3v3 ARENA:
Again, 3v3s can be tough due to lack of balancing, and letting us set up 3v3 lobbies can allow players to set up games with a balanced comp (no more accidental double lifestaff), or against people they want to practice against, etc
- this allows players to play against friends
- practice
- find others to play with
- have more agency on what group(s) they join and whatnot
Custom Game lobbys won’t stop people from queuing normally, but it allows players to set up way more content for themselves and adds so much room for fun.
Wonder if I’m the only one who thinks this way?
