And that’s why I wonder.
Why is damage absorption not a criterion to take into account in the classification tables?
That category only appears in corrupt invasions.
but then for pvp activities the absorption of damage is not even contemplated, and neither is it in pve.
Only the damage and healing matter, that is, only the dps and the healer matter. and a metric that the tank class uses and needs is not even taken into account, it simply does not exist.
Why have they designed a game based on 3 classes if only 2 classes are the ones that matter?
set damage absorption as a criterion. necessary. If you want, do not give rewards for taking damage, but at least, to know it as a statistic for informational purposes.
You don’t want to call it “classes”, so I can call it “categories”. damage category (dps), healing category (healer) and uselessness category (tank).
The metric would have to be in all pvp, war, opr and arena pvp modes.
Yes, especially for the dps and the healer.
If the tank role existed, in a traditional way, the damage absorption would be the metric.
likewise, even if someone is a light dps, it would be useful information to know with real numbers (and not estimates) how much it is absorbing.
know if the elemental aversion stack, physical aversion or fortifying evasion and how effective their combinations are.
Overwatch keeps track of damage mitigated by shields and other methods.
Tanks in New World don’t really mitigate damage for their teammates, though. They mostly just mitigate damage for themselves and, therefore, a “mitigate” category would be kind of meaningless.
The only way they do is by using Defensive Formation under the Defender tree. This would be the only player absorption that could compare to other games.
