No, this is not a “cool interaction”. I’ve been repeatedly harassed by a player on my server since launch. I’ve reported it in game multiple times and nothing happens. I have video evidence of his latest targeted and very personal attack. How can I actually get through to a person that can help me? I spoke with a customer service agent via live chat who basically told me he can’t do anything and doesn’t have access to the information. I do not tolerate bullying and refuse to be made to feel unwelcome on my server. I got flagged for abusive behavior and have a very strong suspicion he had his friends report me. What am I supposed to do? I will not block him. That is not how things work in real life. I will not let him continue to sully me without access to what he is saying. That is not how problems are solved. What should I do? I literally have evidence and no one to send it to. Just because a person doesn’t use profanity doesn’t mean it’s not an insult or made personal. Who reads my reports? How can someone appeal anything without knowing what they stand accused of? It doesn’t make sense. Honestly, tell me–how can you defend, ie–appeal, yourself without knowing which behavior has you flagged or banned? Transparency? Hello. Justice? Hello. It’s bad when AGS customer service is a meme. It shouldn’t be. Help a brother out, would you?

Real life blocking can be implemented to one degree or another depending upon the proximity of the person.

Muting is a common human experience. The brain shuts out perceived unnecessary sights, sounds, and smells.

I hope you’ll forgive this rabbit trail, but I do think it’s pertinent. You don’t have to deal with everything in real life. Why would you do so in a game?

Ideally we could deal with each other as if we were not anonymous monsters on the other side of an internet connection.

However, this is exactly how many behave. Developers going back quite some time in game design added the ability to mute other people. It was for this very reason.

If you do not wish to block, which I understand can leave one wondering what is being said, then you have to develop the strength to not respond and simply ignore. As long as you engage, the issue is likely to continue. Ignore, as in do not respond in any shape or form, and in time it should resolve itself.

Aside from that, I do not feel one can judge the actual situation, as readers here are only provided with one account of what has transpired.
