They closed for an entire month to “bug test” the game before it launched and look where we are. They’ll need a LOT more than a week to fix this mess.

More than a week, this needs to shut down for a minimum of a month. Here it is again, one of the downsides of paid alphas and betas. People aren’t testing anything and developers aren’t listening to those who do. It’s just a buy in preview and making your leveling road map. Then we have the apparent lack of experience of the developers…

it needs a good 6 months extra. with test server that people can test every patch and report to them any issue.

Too late for that. They opened and there’s no turning back. I hope they get to fix it all soon because I’m worried people are getting frustrated and leaving.

Bite the bullet and ARR it. It’ll either pay off and become the world’s number 1 MMO like they did or it’ll crash and burn. Sadly its already on one of those paths so I’d take the risk.

You were obviously not part of the past two years of alpha testing.
THERE WILL ALWAYS BE BUGS/EXPLOITS in this game.
Every patch introduces more. Every single one.
Its been whack-a-mole for this stuff for 18 months.
New World is very close to needing a complete relaunch like FFXIV: A Realm Reborn. Seriously, could this game have launched any more broken?
