@Tovic43 That person you are quoting is not wrong at all though.
AGS does indirectly supports RMT, bots, and cheaters. This is not an opinion, it’s fact. We can observe with every duped item and gains not being removed by AGS. We can observe this with each cheat/exploit that either got multiple slaps on the wrist, or no punishment at all.
Here is what matters for New World’s future. The economy is still flooded with duped goods and people who profited off of the dups. Which precipitated that current climate for single items selling for well over the gold cap. Anybody with a brain understands why this phenomenon is happening. Because of bots and people buying RMT items and coin.
The smokescreen that is being deployed here. Is people saying, that companies making 2 to 4 million a week are suppling their members with BIS gear. But with a little bit of critical thinking, and knowledge about the economy of the game. One comes to the conclusion that even a month of holding EF and WW. A company still don’t have the income to supply 5 members of it’s company with full BiS gear. So now I ask you all think what they are actually doing with that money.
I find it pretty funny how you can complain about someone else being toxic. While being extreme toxic to someone saying the truth. AGS at least indirectly do support RMT, bots, and cheaters. If they didn’t then they would’ve made conditions highly unfavorable for them in New World. At last, conditions are extremely profitable for RMTers, botters, and cheaters in this game.
This has been made very clear on 5 DIFFERENT postings which he was a part of, the devs have said it is NOT against toS and he keeps bringing 2 different parts and combining them…NO, it is NOT illegal to buy/sell ANY in game item/s, not a one…now, combining the TWO by saying players using RMT to buy coins and then turn around and buy shards…two different cases, two separate issues. One is completely illegal and one is NOT. So again which the devs have said, players have said and the CM’s have said in game trading is legal, RMT is NOT, stop combining the two. And just for reference the only reason I said what I said is for what I just described above and he STILL floods forums with this BS…yes we all know some players do it but until NW has undeniable evidence (which if he can provide I WOULD stand behind him) of RMT’s they will do NOTHING. So again I will say him continually posting BS comments with NO PROOF is toxic
The RMT business is booming in New World because the Devs at least indirectly supports RMT in their game. They are more than likely getting a cut of that RMTed money.
Enjoy!
Even before I did hit lvl 40 some time after release I knew that this game was not designed by people with experience in MMO genre. It lacked the basic features that some games in the genre had for years and even decades. It shows that they did went in somewhat blind and decided to bust in with something “of their own” and failed. Which would be recovarble if not the bugs, toxic members of the community, history of failure and on top of it all releasing an unfinished game whilst using your customers as beta tester. This game should have been released in 2023 with some proper research prior to the development process and it could have been at the top 5 for the genre… but alas that’s not the case here.
and sure they are trying, bringing updates, some content however its just too little to late to bring back even half of the numbers they had at all time peak. Unless of course they will bring actual experts, listen and apply instead of trying to reinvent the wheel.
The video just highlighted again that AGS needs to badly hire new, experienced developers as the current ones are (as we know now) not qualified for the product they’re tasked to produce.
Like Nerdslayer I have played the game since the very first Alpha around 2018 and I’ve been passionate about it ever since, even through the major shift in direction. But after testing the game extensively through the different Alphas and Betas it was already clear that the game had serious fundamental issues prior to launch that would bleed over into the release version.
Now 7 months after the launch of the game, the conclusion has to be that the game development just can not be continued the way it was started or it is going to lead to the imminent death in the near future. And I don’t talk out of frustration here, I’m just realistic.
Unfortunately it is blatantly obvious at this point that the developers in charge are either completely lacking passion for the game or are just not experienced enough for the job. I don’t doubt that the broken engine that the developers are forced to work with and the involvement of Mike Frazzini, who has never made a video game before, are also factors for the lacking quality of the game, but ultimately it comes down to the vision and the decisions that are being made, and they seem to be fundamentally flawed since the shift to a full MMORPG.
I think if nothing drastically changes soon, the playercount will drop to very dangerous territory shortly, putting the game and it’s many flawed systems in a completely dysfunctional state. And if we arrive at that point, I don’t think the game will ever be able to recover. Nobody wants to play an MMO that has no future.
It is tough, if not impossible to increase the playercount for a game that is publicly perceived as “dying” or “dead” and stop the avalanche that is created by people leaving the game in masses. The whole situation is incredibly sad as a lot of people, including me, are still hoping that the game can magically turn it around one day, but I think we’re slowly coming to a make-or-break point here that will decide the future of the game.
I don’t have the perfect solution, but something has to change.
Very true, those of us who have remained active up to this point consider that we are the hard core of players and even so we have already lost patience. The next arena update will be the morphine injection, but we all know what will happen when the hype is over and we have a long couple of months with no more content and no major fixes to the game.
You obviously only picked out certain parts of my comment…I said we all KNOW…let me say this again, we all KNOW it happens but until there’s more evidence on a single person involved in the RMT yes ban them but AGAIN, using in game coin to go on those where at the end I guess the person gets m10s and shards? I dunno, I’m a broke ass crafter, I don’t run with others typically so I can/do see the point of it IS 2 separate issues, or trade game coin for shards is not illegal…using RMT to BUY coins is very illegal as long as you can show proof. Don’t get me wrong here okay, I DO WANT bot sellers/RMT buyers banned, hells yes I do but I also want to make DAMN sure they’re banned with backing of proof and sorry, a couple pictures of someone standing in town at the PT or at a crafting station is NOT proof and them saying “I would never report unjustly” goes about as far as 20 ton boulder floats with no help. Word of mouth in games and BS pictures = zero and repeated claims, posting on other peoples posts without evidence is trolling, pure and simple. Same with your link
But people buy RMT coin to use said coin to trade for shards. Of course “we” wouldn’t know for sure. But the fact that site has such a robust amount of different RMT transactions over New World happening. One can only wonder, how are they making enough to keep those sales going in a practically dead MMO. Is it because their accounts are not being removed from the game? Why are their accounts not being removed from the game? Is it because royalties are being rendered to people who police the game?
We do have concrete evidence that people are engaging and massive amounts of RMT in New World. A game that only has about small amount of players at peak hours. Yes you can beat loads of people are buying these shards with RMTed coins. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure that out.
Look, I know there’s real legitimacy in your words and feelings on the issue and of course we know it happens…but a company can not direct action unless more proof can be shown, that’s it…nothing more will be accomplished but more drama, discord and flooding of an already beat down forums. I wish AGS would implement some form of tougher rules for catching/banning players, bot companies and those who take advantage of exploits but for now, this regretfull, is what they run with. So while 99% of players know it happens, players/CM/CL’s hands are bound and tied to ToS standards
Players can simply not feed the 2nd coming of APB. By just outright not play. RMT is useless in a PvP game if there is no one to fight the buyers. Which will starve the sellers. Not the best outcome.
Devs can use around 2 to 5 million USDs to actually investigate the source of RMTs. And just outright permaban all the buyers.
The CMs can brag about the cancellation of all those who bought RMTed goods.
If MMOs like FFXIV, ESO, GW2, and BDO can do it. So can New World, there is no excuse. They don’t because they are indirectly allowing to happen. For reasons I’ll admit, that I’m clueless about.
Although it’s Dead LOL we still continue to play. Here is the reason why I still play:
I don’t pvp anymore why bother
I stop PvE and doing dungeons
I now just gather, craft, and decorate my 3 houses
I do town boards where my houses are located so I can be top tier for my house to be displayed
Yeah that’s the only reasons why I log in now. I have very small goals now, and log off when I think I done enough.
If it wasn’t for housing, I probably would have not returned to New World.
At first I thought that I could get by with this game until a new MMO came out at the end of 2022, but I was wrong, New World has become so bad that it’s pointless to join because if I do I’ll just annoy myself or just get bored. So without New World I’m waiting for a new MMO.
