Crafters who spend hundreds of hours leveling skills and thousand of gold destroying materials to make there own BOP gear get screwed by AGS and told to go grind HWM to make there grind worth it.
Released in 28th september 2021, with an unexpected boom of players on launch AGS decided to encourage its players to start on new introduced servers to avoid the enourmous queues to join high populated servers, me being one of those players.
roughly a month later the long waited transfer tokens were delivered, not only for those who found themselves in that specific situation but for every single account that had been created. By that time i already had achieved level 60 and when the tokens came out i submited my transfer within 30 minutes of it being released to finally be able to play together with all my friends after a month of being playing alone on another server. This resulted in everyone from my company having a transfer token available exept me.
Then after 700-ish hours invested on that character and several events taking place on that server (US East region - Pleroma server - Arkadia Ultra world set) resulting in a massive exodus of its companies and players to other servers, my company then decided to also transfer over when the server peak population wasn’t reaching 300 players daily and some end game content were becoming escarse and some others almost inexistent. At this point i had grinded my HWM to the range of 595-600 on gearset parts and 570-580 on all sorts of weapons, besides that the majority of my trading skills were at level 200 with only a few quite not there yet.
Second transfer token or paid transfer when? - #78 by Labbin here’s what i’ve given up on.
After several attempts to get a chance to move out with the company, along with so many other players finding themselves in the same situation asking for a way out of their dead servers and even willing to pay for a second transfer token, it has all been denied for this reason:
That resulted in me deciding to take the L and re-roll another character from scratch and grind it all up again. Thanks to the immense support i’ve got from my company i was able to powerlevel through townboard quests up to level 60 again in a 3 days spam, so i could get back on to end game content grind. Nonetheless, all my trade skills, weapon mastey, achievements, high water marks had to be worked up again.
Now i come back from work just to find out that i am about to get yet another backtrack on my progression because i wanted to get back into the end game content on a high pop competitive server so i bought all my gearset parts and weapons from market while my HWM isn’t grinded up again, so my items are at 585-600 GS but my HWM is at 510-530 GS range.
You ask for constructive feedback, that is my feedback. I am uninstalling this game.
My 600 GS items I spent 100k for and hundreds of hours farming PvP flagged will be turned into a 530 GS item. Also why would anyone buy gear from a crafter when the game will just level down gear. You know all this and you’re a troll, which is what I suspect is actually going on.
What you’re saying isn’t true though. Your gear is still 600gs… just the bonuses will be tuned to your current gear score.
So suck it up and progress your gearscore and your 100k investment is still just as strong as it was.
good changes. You will actually have to earn your watermark instead of buying it like so many pathetic wallet warriors did.
So your answer to players losing hundreds of hours of progress is to suck it up. Yeah no I’m good.
What I’m sincerely struggling to understand is why I punish most players at the expense of a hardcore niche.
Why punish that you farmed gold by quest, craft, trade or even farm and managed to buy your set because you don’t like to do a certain activity (like farm GS) and simply pass a ruler down?
Wouldn’t it be fair TO EVERYONE since you obviously couldn’t control the dupers item flow to increase the GS, I don’t know, to 700 and then add this new layer to the new GS system?
I bet that then nobody would complain and everyone would be satisfied and even more if they really cared about the players’ satisfaction they would remove this KEYS system, put a Match Making system and allow players to farm their GS in dungeons either running 1 or 100 times per day!
But the chosen path is not that of exclusion and general dissatisfaction to the detriment of the hardcore niche that already has its 600 WM, or is it that even this niche still lacks accessories?!
In the end everyone will be punished and a new wave of player loss will begin in 2022.
So. Congratulations
My hundreds of hours farming PvP flagged makes me a wallet warrior. That’s funny cause I actually fought players and didn’t fight in a Zerg against NPCs like you did.
Nothing is lost, the short cut you’ve been taking has been closed off. You now need to actually progress. Again… try to understand, nothing is lost. Your gear is as good as it ever was, your character just needs to catch up to take full advantage.
On top of all this, no one knows how severe the stat nerfs will be, so you might still have an edge while gaining expertise.
Tell what server and company your on. Im sure you have been spoon fed and have bias opinion. Come craft a full set of high end BOP gear by hand from Laz/Gen with no help on a server with a few hundred people not zerg running shattered for your gear or having a guild crafter hand you some voidbent. And very little to no way to buy material because the cost is astronomical do to low server pop.
Some scrub carried through end game with no real knowledge of how real players have had to progress. easy to talk when riding on the shoulders of others.
So my progress was gained through a loophole. Interesting I thought I was playing the game as it was designed to be played.
I can understand that. I appreciate you asking if I am able to UNDERSTAND.
Have you tested this in PTR? What specifically is “wiped”
What do you like about the potential implementation?
what do you NOT like about the potential implementation?
This is why there is a PTR - so you can test these things out and provide legitimate “FEEDBACK”
To help influence and steer the Devs future LIVE implementations.
Calling something a “WIPE” without testing it - only based on a 1st pass of notes… is ignorant.
why on earth would you call crafting a shortcut?
on a more positive side, those who got their equipment through crafting or trading, don’t have to do it all again. they already have their endgame equipment intact. they don’t have to get it again. now they need to actually level themselves so they can get the best result from this.
still, there are many better ways this could be implemented.
the gear will be equal to the same gear but have the stats of whatever your expertise is, its in the blog.
lol, wut… is this the new navy seal copy/pasta?
My hwm is only around 520 on most pieces. I stopped progressing it because the current methods were stupid and not fun. I’m looking forward to these new varried ways to gain expertise, even if it will take a bit longer.
Even if I spent all my time crafting 600gs voidbent or w/e, I’d still have it… Just need the expertise to take full advantage.
How is jewelry expertise handled now?
You guys crack me up. Honestly if you don’t like the way the game is going just quit. That’s the best way to show them that their ideas they’re implementing are plain stupid. Everyone always starts paying attention when you go after their wallets.
Well if you stopped that you issue. putting hundreds of hours into craft also ment running all the Elite zones for material including expeditions and farming thousands of mobs, nodes etc. this was by no means easy and actually probably much more difficult than farming HWM than some 20-30 man zerg crashing through end game zones on a loop with luck gear on with drops raining from heaven require no skill or true investment.
To be told O btw Start over from you low point… I mine as well have just grinded WM from the beginning and I would have been rich at this point.
no, youre wrong.
