If the addon reads more than position, including pulling resource locations from the game or an external website, giving players an advantage that is not intended by the developers, it is a violation of our ToS and we will take action.
This is just stupid since their decision on the Overwolf minimap usage is open to interpretation. Can you show certain nodes or not? How do you know which filters you can use? List goes on.
It would be better to have a definite stance on the matter where you either CAN or CAN’T use it. No gray zones. Just make it illegal and people won’t get banned because they didn’t know better.
They are pretty clear about it.
The mini-map can:
· Show player position
· Show folks in group as we do on compass
· Only show node placement if they’ve unlocked that node via tradeskills, provided it is within the range that compass would display them.
· Only show AI that you’ve unlocked via tradeskills as compass and within range of compass.
· Show quests as they do on compass"
Since I’m almost 200 in all gathering skills, it’s okay to use Overwolf to show the locations of resource nodes then? Because one other AGS rep said (see post above by FozzieDNC) you can ONLY show your position. This is exactly what I mean about it being confusing.
Also, what does AI mean in regards of trade skills?
I don’t know who the AGS rep is you’re speaking of. Typically people with an official position in a forum like that would have some sort of obvious indicator on their name indicating that. I don’t see anything like that here.
I’m guessing you mean Goyle? I don’t see anything that makes me believe they are anything more than another forum user.
The information I posted comes straight from a Dev Post that has orange name and text to indicate they are an official poster.
As for your other questions, it’s pretty simple. If it shows up on your compass already, it is allowed to be on your mini-map. If the compass does not show it for you, you can’t have it on your mini-map either. It can not act any differently than the compass does.
Are you using an addon that pulls only your location? You are good at this time and no action will be taken. Keep watch on the official channel in case this position changes.

Ahh i see what you mean. That post was 12 days ago. This one was 6 days ago. I would take the newest information as the most accurate myself.

Okay just to be sure are you 100% sure that it was the overwolf minimap?
Like can you give the name of the map that was used @RockAndQueen there are a few cases of people beeing banned for other minimaps since those are not using overwolf and break the TOS by reading out data in unintended ways (Same methods as for example a bot is written)
If so, make sure to mention that in the appeal ticket.
So a company unjustly bans me so my first action is to buy a new copy of the game and my 2nd action is to post a thread that violates tos…

That is, if I break the rule and get banned on that account, I have no right to buy the game again and play by the rules?
I use only overwolf map(but i see all chests and resource with her).
Your attempting to circumvent the ban and broadcasting your appeal on the forums … both tos violations

You obviously do not know how to read, I have already admitted that I was wrong, I did not understand about Amazon’s disregard for the players when the overwolf map was allowed in principle.
I also want to find out where I violate tos when I start from scratch.
You got banned. You are not allowed to play the game again.

Yeah, unfortunately you have already violated the ToS as people have stated by creating this post. You were banned, that means no more playing, no more posting in forums. If they were okay with you admitting you were wrong and all that, they would have reversed the ban and let you play again. Creating a new account to circumvent bans is against ToS. As for amazons position, they were clear about it in the post saying you could use it.
You breaking the rules due to not knowing them is not their fault and does not make you innocent. It’s the same thing with all these posts. Just because something is possible to do in the game does not mean it is allowed and it is pretty obvious stuff.

Simple lesson here. Don’t use mods. A mod can not have anymore then the compass already shows. There is no point in using it.
